The first time I struggled hard to take on the castle, they have infinite resources and there's no way to take out blue, I feel like the infinite spawn is badly designed. The second time I played it I was more prepared with like 5-6 onagres and destroyed their military. 2 pushes and it was over

This mission was pretty hard for me, had to restart 2 times before getting to the final city. Played the siege in a pretty similiar way, though, tower rush and slinger push right to the castle... only... stupid me didn’t notice you could build siege, so i had to use eagles to take out the buildings... many lives were lost. But, finally, i blew up the castle with petarda and flung some rocks to the umbrella guy’s face

It was even worse here for me. Played it on "silver" difficulty, didn't notice you could build a siege workshop while ALSO forgetting that you could make petards. Lost all my siege weapons in the first push and then had to slowly spam units wave after wave to take down the castle with military. Took me quite a while, and when the castle finally crumbled, the umbrella dude fleed away through the gates, then I had to push through the rest of the defences to get to him. Silly me. )

Also I now notice that I played the mission before the update, when you actually couldn't build a sierge workshop.

In these types of missions patrolling ranged on Stand ground works wonders in keeping them alive.

Wow they made this mission easier, I don't recall being able to make seige workshop on my first hard run. I basically did the OP Fish boom with like 30 fishing ships, and made the most of my 2 onagers and 2 rams (the only seige I had access to). Mass xbow (like 30-50 xbow) to snipe army coupled with those 2 onagers and some eagles to help snipe the enemy mangonels. In the endgame the ABSOLUTE PRIORITY is getting rid of that fucking seige workshop, they keep making mangonels and from that mini hill near their gates those mangonels land killer OP shots. Basically that's what fucked the snek too, so I dont feel so bad about reloading the heck out of my save files till the seige workshop was gone with minimal losses. The rest after that is cakewalk with mass Xbow and couple of eagles with the 2 rams for the castle. Once I had 30 fishing ships, all vils were tasked on gold. Just a couple on wood

They made this level easier. I think that this is a good thing. The constant attacks of blue and your small eco was a pain in the ass to handle. But it would be even better if they just made a new difficulty. Before the update, you could not build siege workshop, even when destroying the chanca one. Imagine losing all siege weapons, do not found that random castle and getting constantly raided by blue with gold units, how do you want to get this coward brother? PS: reinforcement were also not there, so be thankful Mr. Khmer:)

Oh that is why, because i remembered losing all of my rams and had to spam long swordsmen to take down the castle. IT TOOK FOREVER, many good men perished during that battle too lmao

I personally like challenges. Back then, I played without siege workshop like Viper and did not find the castle. Still, it was solvable on hard. I mean that is why there are other difficult levels as well (if you find it too broken).@@TheAireaidLord
