Im glad you could finally get your hands on a nice matchup! I enjoy your commentary in other games but it gets so much better when top experts are involved, it makes you learn a lot about the game and there is a lot more interesting stuff to commentate about at that level. What an awesome game! I love playing very aggressive and really enjoyed watching Spring's play here. I also don't understand how people are saying the commentary is biased?! I'd have to guess that they're diehard Viper fans who can't stand to see him lose, so they're taking it out on Resonance or calling Spring's play lame?

The viper should of started harassing with his scouts sooner instead of defending with them. I think that was his initial plan but he got side tracked defending and eventually realized to go on the offensive.

that forward was so aggressive. And viper didn't go with his typical crossbow comp. AOE2 really seems to favor the side that chooses to go aggressive due to all the map control and economical advantage you can get. Even if you have the same economy as your opponent you will be ahead if you can prevent his/her villagers from gathering resources.

Yes, every player should know this. Everything takes 25% less damage and deals 25% more if they have a higher elevation.

Why didnt the silent attack the only left gold mine? He spent so much effort into walling off the rock and gold but let viper mine so much gold from the hill? Also i dont get why he never went around the first viper lumbercamp and attack from the higher ground. he went 2 times from below. Maybe silent didn't have the gold mine and mountain near the first wood scouted??

he didnt play this for training. TheViper isnt somenone who wants to "prove" things. TheViper always tries to play perfectly, especially in a tournament. he didnt wall it because he needed the vills for something else (or thats what he thought atleast). He says himself that hes not as good as everyone thinks he is.

This game is all about 1v1s, real chess matches, maybe even 2v2s. I've been playing 3v3s and 4v4s, all they are is rush to Impereal age and death match it out. It's definitely more fun with less players.

I really think Spring was idling his militia (attacking barracks?) for way too long. He should have gone around the woodline and attacked from the top like you said. Viper is known for his exceptional composure under pressure. Many players would have crumbled under it but not the great one.
