this revolt is one of the best, its an all in but its a very strong all in. you get revolutionaries as good anti cav and overall damage, very strong hussars, and can send 2 heavy cannons beforehand for anti infantry if needed. also, all of your hussars turn into the hussars of death, so you can just spam age2 hussar and once you revolt they all shadowtech

What use would a factory be in a strat like this? Feels like it would almost always be better to have a couple of Heavy cannons immediately.

If I squeeze a factory in, I can use it on food for more units or heavy cannons over time, ya it's more of a long term play.
