Here in Argentina we have the word "cipayo" that is the equivalent to sipahi or spahi. By the way, is great to see you playing the final campaign with India. China was the toughest, Japan was quite historically correct and funny as well but this one is a mix between a tough and funny campaign and also pretty accurate, if we see history. Elephants are awesome!

Also, elephant mounted cannons did exist, but not used how they were in game. They were smaller swivel guns intended for anti-personnel, not anti-building, use.

For this campaign, the Indians don't get the British consulate because it would cause awkward problems in the story.

Is better if you get first 2 mission British consulate, then you cannot take that.

About the herdables and the sacred fields... Since Indian vils need wood instead of food, and get free vils with most shipments, I think sacred fields are like a tool to get a lot of xp and shipments early on. I mean, wood is a more important resource than food in some ways. Just my opinion

After my sepoys fire their first shot, I make them switch to hand-to-hand combat and join the Rajputs.

Took me 5 retries but then I got a good strat. Build forts (from cards) in a ring with the command post and tc. Then use swordsman and sepoy to the north and west to defend. edmundson and Gurkha to the south. And build the healer so your swordsmen get to live. Get the Howdah shipment, siege elephant shipment and then cavalry.

Saltpeter sites give I think resource crates as well as exp trickle, but I am not sure. There is no hill advantage here. My strategy for Fires of Calcutta was to order as many castles/defensive structures from homecity and russian consulate as soon as possible and create only Sowar with a few Zamburaks fo fire from the back of the army. Once enough cavalry was present I sent them to one of the barracks, then to the second one etc. a big disappointment is that you would thing the more you destroy the easier it gets, but no, they do appear out of nowhere not really caring how many barracks were left.

With that campaign, solution is anti infantry, the only way to win is to spam anti infantry with lots of hp Answer: spam mahout lancers, lots of them, use the healers to heal damaged ones and then send email back to the front lines again I tried sowar and zamburak No luck, sowar too fragile and gets owned easily mahout is the only way to go, supplemented by Gurkhas and sepoys, heal the mahouts and destroy the barracks

@@bilalcakir5750 It's funny how I just managed to get my strategy to work first time (and those few years back also on hard) and someone says it doesn't work XD To me Mahouts are too expensive and enemy attacks too often to micro the healers, but that's probably due to my lack of skill, then again I made a few Gurkhas, but they got owned by enemy anti infantry.

Gurkha where is you damage boost vs infanry? There is only heavy infantry boost, missile cavalry boost, normal cavalry boost and villager/town center boost. And what is this hero boost? And siege got hero boost? Is that unique buildings?

19:30 india is one of the lowest ranking civs in the meta. The dutch are the go to for defendable maps.

Man, the Indians clearly don't have strong units. I mean, the sipoy is great ok but the rajput is a weaker hallebardier and the gurka a weaker skirmisher (less hp, attack and doesn't get the x3 against infantry). The sowar is a weaker lancer, the zamburak is thw worst dragoon of the game. The siege elephant is great against buildings but weak against all other units. The mahut is strong but so expansive and easily killed because it is so huge that you can surround it. The howdah is a beast ok. One of the best dragoon of the game. Even strong against buildings. The elephant with the mass is... meh. It's not weak but mahut and howdahs do better. Finaly the urumis are insane, I admit. They are one of the best units of the game.

Gurkhas are actually pretty strong fully upgraded they get 21 range, regenerate, and with the royal green jackets card get the 3x heavy inf multi as well as a multiplier against all inf. Mahout lancers are best heavy cav, and the camel units are cheap and 1pop.

From what I can see on wiki the only difference except for a price is that Gurkha has 5 hp less than skirmisher and 1 more ranged attack, all the multiplayers are the same unless they changed something in the DE. EDIT: "The Gurkha's fragility is offset somewhat by their ability to regenerate hit points"- wiki
