While a lot of these scenarios are really well done, I do wonder why literally every single mission in this campaign needs to have 8 players. and most of them really are active players that produce units and fight with/against you. it's "efficient", in a sense, you can cram a lot of narrative into one map, but imho the smaller-scope, more focused missions from AoK/AoC were the ones that stuck in my mind a lot more than the gigantic brawls. even if they were all on the easy side, and are hard to make more difficult without making them super tedious and/or slow and/or frustrating.

IT IS possible to wipe out ALL the Athenians Camps outside the main walled up camp before you even sneak in Bait your two heroes step by step into each area, when they first enter more units will spawn but they only spawn once, key is to bait 1-3 at a time, wait and heal, will take a while but it guarantees the win I left the shipyard last, when you take out the main ship beached in the middle you will get a notification saying they are about to attack and a countdown, don’t worry they don’t attack your ally’s at all and there towers and units whittle them down till it wins the scenario, easy

i made my base near the arabian trade instead, since i have not beat the red one, and i wont lose any of my troops, the place has resources suchs as foods, i mean there are only 4 or 6 golds ore, but the stone is worth it, i could build 3 castles to def my base

bruh i've prepared a lot of units near the castle, but i decided to brought 15 lv 3 archers and 20 lvl 2 camels in front of their gate, and i killed the king easily

I just love how you breezed through this campaign easily and even went on the offensive, while I was getting annihilated. I did play on Hard, but I went for a defensive approach without defeating cyan or purple, and good Lord... Your allies will be defeated eventually and you'll be left alone. With the constant raids, I was having issues getting more resources. It's probably easier to go on the offensive or, at the very least, get those towns for your allies.

dunno why hot gates is getting so much hate, that switch to playing as the spartans in by far one of the most well known and famous battles in ancient history was so fun, made me think back to my younger self in the editor trying to replicate it. it also clearly wasnt meant to be anything more than fan service, its even hinted at by the short sentence 'didnt think id forget about this did you'. i for one loved it, and its the only mission with any sort of replay-ability since you can always try and kill more persians and beat your previous score. overall great review, but have to disagree with this specific one, was such a fun surprise.

Green is impossible to beat in castle age. It's literally cheating - he has infinite resources. Therefore, infinite units. I've tested it with aegis. To find those scholars was a pain in the ass. Only in imp I destroyed them with pala treb spam. They resign if all castles + tcs are down. Green lost around 2400 units in that game. Probably 500 vils. Imagine. He was surrounded West by my castles. Still only in imp it's possible.

What in the name of Christ is the general idea with these viking raids? I have united the entire Norsland, then got raided while pillaging Blue and lost all my possessions in a few minutes. Another annoying scenario. I am glad that as soon as I finish it there will be only 2 more to go and I will never ever see that VaV bs again. i can assure you that if you go for purple 1st or 2nd this scenario is NOT straightforward at all. There's grey which backs purple which makes it impossible to make any inroads into those deadly scorpion mass

I'm glad that the achievement doesn't actually require the almost god like micro you showed😅 Only doing the speedrun strategy on the Romans seems to do the trick. After that you boom, build a Castle, and build an army of about 60 Caveliers and some Trebs. Then take out green, since they're the most dangerous. As they resign cyan will probably come knocking on your door, so you take them out as well. With this you should be able to finish the scenario in a little over 20 minutes.

1. if you refrain from attacking norway until 28 in game minutes, their 2 monks will collect 4 relics from denmark for you. then attack norway, and you can unhouse their relics with attack-ground from onagers at your leisure (obviously put them back to win) 2. as of dec 2024, you can now build cannon galleon. these will wreck denmark, who have 20 docks and 9 castles which they cannot rebuild. 3. despite archer bonuses, attack with scorpions, as denmark army is mostly skirms and huskarls

I got to 150 ships by splitting up my army in two similar forces and was able to destroy most enemies. Use up all of your gold until you have two nice armies. Then you can start hoarding it. I think I donated 12k gold to Ephesus and that was enough for 150 ships. None were created after that, so more gold is unnecessary. Just don't try micro'ing 2 armies on the opposite sides of the map, but fight your fight while moving the other army to the next town and have them be ready, one Polemarch each that heals every military unit nearby.
