Fantastic video man. i can get anywhere from 1250 - 1500 by the end of the treaty but now im going to start using hot keys and focusing more on putting my villagers on resources that are immediately necessary. It's difficult to find a good 40 minute treaty strategy guide on youtube. Hopefully it'll get a bit more popular and common now that its on steam.

Wouldnt it be better to shift to ports after spain constulate ups, thrn laying the building and wall foundations with port wood discount, and then shifting back to spain for the xp up?

He aged to II with 680 food, because he was allied w/ the Portuguese, which have a -15% food and wood for buildings bonus.

You don't make use of the daiymo's and shogun+ bakufu? But they're what allows the Japanese to train just as fast as a euro civ, and in blocks of 10, plus wherever you want!

i do use it now; use stables to train cavalry and daimyos to train infantry (and shogun for artillery of course)

thx! gold is japan's slowest gathering resource, so it's best to eschew gathering it as much as possible... besides that japanese composition is decently food heavy with how many ashi/yumi you make. nagi are even but it still evens out that having a big food stockpile and then switching more vills to coin later is more sustainable than otherwise.

why do you send the villagers to TC everytime even when the mine and cherry orchard are right next to each other

It's quicker than the settler walking around the TC, so he makes them go in and then quickly ejects them. Saves some seconds which add up in the end.

i didn't make a TP because you can't get one in every game you play and this boom was to show what score you could get in the most agnostic map setting.

i intentionally didn't use it. negligible bonus imo. i'd rather have another military card. besides, there's not enough time to send it during the boom.

I disagree with samurais and yabusames being too expensive. I've never had an issue streaming those units for hours on end - I don't spam them to all hell but they work wonders if you use them against the proper enemy units or buildings. The whole point of the game is to win, not to simply not lose. Strategically utilized units are how you win the game - having a lot of resources is pointless if you never use them. You've got a lot of food at the end and could easily slice that in half and have it back in gold, and with a more balance eco be able to pump almost any unit you want. Otherwise, great boom man, thanks for sharing.

djunjuppeke was the one to refine this japanese build. his more recent ones were capable of hitting 2000+, in this vid i think i show a low 1900 but i made some mistakes so it's possible to do same shit and hit mid to high 1900s. haven't watched an allbinx rec in years

Why so less wood? How can you keep on making yumis? 6k wood at 40. I won't ever take that risk given that you didn't even have that great of a gold bank

my main composition would be ashigarus and naginatas and i would push very hard. the game would be over sooner than the low wood is relevant :) the low gold bank is because you don't have enough shipments before 40 minutes to send all the gather rate upgrade cards. that's why you skip sending coin gather rate upgrade cards during the boom. it's after 40 minutes that you start sending those cards (when you are generating a lot of military XP) and switch all of your rice paddies to produce coin.

it takes more time for them to walk around the town center. if they spend more time walking, that means they're spending less time gathering. so if i teleport them through the town center, i save a lot of time and consequently earn more resources!
