Quick question. How are you decideing which build you are going to play? This is the main issue for me. Like you went fast barrack to mant at arms and 1 tc castle age agreesion. Second game you start with two farms and 2tc. Or maybe DFT style fast imperial idk

he plays 1000 games per month or so ;D he knows how to play every mach up probably. But you can play multiple strategys with the same matchups. So sometimes he just does what he likes to do in that moment. Most of the time is a good reason behind this

first game the map makes it that gold spawn very far from tc (out of range usually), so starting 1 maa makes it very hard for the enemy. against otto u want to stay age 2 since otto will all in i guess (not sure)

2 TC I rarely do these days, unless I'm feeling extra spicy, 1 TC aggression (I have a guide for it) is the one I go for the most. Barracks opening in Dark Age is good vs civs that try to get early stone or need a lot of gold in feudal. Fast imperial I don't really do since I dont think its good at the top level, but can work other than that. Most of the time I just do things on the fly.

Are your units somehow automatically in a pre-set hotkey group upon spawning?? Or are you just that swifty with assigning them? Your scouts for example, seem like they are instantly in hotkey group 1,2, and 3; immediately on spawn. Thanks beasty for great videos and thanks to anyone who comments !

True bro, I bought this game 3 months ago and for some reason I don't want to play agains others I just play 2 to 3 skirmish a day and watch videos, I don't know why I have the fear to play ranked

@@begonethot9338 I started playing now, I had the same anxiety about going on ranked games and losing badly. It's a bit weird getting used to people that think and have different strategies, but eventually you get a feeling of it. It's still like 50-50 on wins (that's basically what the ranking system does), but the games are really exciting and you get punished for bad moves or doing things kinda mindlessly (which you get away with against PC). It's really exciting, the one downside for me is that it requires and drains you a lot of energy. But it drains less when you get used to it I think.

When Beasty builds Mills + Farms all around them, it looks like it's an automatic process for him but it always requires me to do some minor but annoying microing that wastes so much of my time. How does he do that?

Shift click Q A on the Mill, it'll place the farms around it where it can in the best arrangement

In the start it's not important, just gather, produce vills, scout and build without pauses. In the middle and late game, especially in fights, yes, its important

90% of my ranked games I play with English. Vs Zhu Xi it is impossible to win. Being platinum 2 I lose against gold 3 players the 100 % of the games. I have tried, Dark age rush MA , 1tc, 2tc, fc. nothing works against Zhu xi (maybe a cheese with villagers and Ma it could work, but is bored win with this strategy, not is my style). The Zhu Xi civ is very cheater, need urgent nerf economic

If i see the opponent is going for zhugenu Spam. I Just spam the Shit Out of archery and stabels. Horseman+ longbows worked pretty well for me. Sometimes i Put a view maa to the Army to Tank then in the Most cases the zhugenu will target them so i can Snipe more zugis with longbow. Keep Up🤘
