What I love about this video is that unlike with a lot of stories, where things like pride and greed are treated as inexcusable atrocities that only the most evil people struggle with, this video acknowledges and accepts that they are simply parts of human nature that everyone can struggle with to some extent, and it’s your ability to acknowledge and deal with them that determines what kind of person you are.

You can speak to him yourself, you know. Whenever you want, too. I asked ChatGPT if it could answer all of my questions as though it were Joshua Graham from Fallout: New Vegas, and it said yes, so now; it does. What's more, not only does it behave and speak as though it were actually The Burned Man, *but it also gives better advice than anyone I've ever met.* *What a strange time to be alive.*

I genuinely believe that the creation of Joshua Graham had some degree of divine inspiration involved. What are the odds that a person or character like this appears right at the beginning of a time of such spiritual darkness and chaos? With not only the exact messages people need to hear, but from a voice that seems to have an inherent calming influence and can be adapted perfectly using a freely available technology that wouldn’t be in use until over a decade after his introduction to the world? Dark forces aren’t the only ones at work here, they’re just the most visible as is their nature and that is a comforting thought. A light in the darkness if you will.

What's even more haunting about Joshua Graham is that he refuses Chems because "They do nothing for him anymore". Med-X is canonically the setting's brand name for Morphine. This man is in perpetual agony to such a degree even Morphine won't touch it, yet he remains his full faculties and beliefs and is this calm and focused.

I like how he applies the 7 deadly sins to modern day life in a practical way. All of his videos are brutally honest but they seem to have a common theme of growth. They dont lie and say the world isnt a cruel place but instead tell you to grow into someone strong enough too help overcome it. Good writing.

Been a while since I've listened to these. But if there's seven sins in the video here, there's seven quotes worth for them. Pride 0:00 - "We are rarely proud, when we are alone." - Voltaire Envy 3:03 - "Jealousy is the tie that binds, and binds, and binds." - Helen Rowland Wrath 9:00 - "Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame." - Benjamin Franklin Gluttony 12:57 - "The gluttons dig their own graves with their teeth." - James Howell Lust 16:12 - "Sex is the consolation you have when you can't have love." - Gabriel Garcia Marquez Sloth 19:53 - "What is right, is often forgotten by what is convenient." - Bodie Thoene and finally, Greed 24:56 - "To greed, all nature is insufficient." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca

It’s unsurprising to me. God’s own begotten son was born into this world and despite all he did in his life when he was alive he only had a handful of apostles. Those who seek the truth and righteousness are rare, those who can bear the cost are even fewer. At least here, in this world anyway. Luckily for us, the big man upstairs sees potential in us that even we don’t seem to see and so he sent a part of himself to suffer in our stead. Those who seek righteousness, who seek justice, will find it in time one way or another. Have faith that dark forces are not the only invisible things sowing seeds in our world. Light still persists in the darkness and darkness only prevails when light is absent.

This wisdom is so much better than a lot of the other self help pandering I've encountered on KZbin. Rather, Joshua Graham's message is clean, detailed, precise , and doesn't hold back the high charge of responsibility that being a considerate, fully alive human obliges. I hope the algorithm favors you and your channel🙏

Hey there Aogiri, I’d like to ask for some advice. To give you some context on who I am, I’m a young man who’s just starting university, and has moved a great distance to live with my dad for the first time since I was a little kid. I graduated high school early, and have spent the last year building a life here, and the last few months working. My little brother moved down here shortly after I did, and the sanctuary I’ve cultivated with my family and step-family for the last 8 or so years, but really been able to strengthen since I’ve moved has been made into something beautiful. That being said, I want to do more for them. The whole reason I want to become a lawyer is so that I can provide a better life for the people I care about, and help people in need. I am not as disciplined as I can be, and I’d like to improve that skill. Do you have any advice for someone trying to discipline themselves? Or someone going into university for the first time? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. - Lock
