I've been gone for a bit preparing for my art exhibit, but I hope this video puts a smile on your face...and more importantly answers your questions 🤗I've unlisted the video since it was a distraction from my channel's mission of sharing my journey as an artist - not being a loc channel, I'm still proud of it, so you're welcome to check it out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmrWZ56tltqKjZYsi=ClD3yGYRHcd2vMc4 If you're an OG & want the update on my art show, the recap is on my Instagram: instagram.com/aohamer I hope you remember to see the beauty in your journey too 💕

Love your locs! I was instantly inspired to start my journey by one of my college professors with a length similar to yours. I couldn’t believe the beauty I was witnessing bc that was THE first time I saw a Black woman confidently wearing all her natural hair loc’d up! 💜💜💜

Loved the brief glimpse of the paintings and how long your guy looked at them before saying anything.

With locs, people are on a quest to achieve a certain look. The truth is, each journey is unique. All locs don't flow the same. I've had the same questions for those who loc'd but never asked because it's been asked 1,000 times😂 - BTW, I can't wait to place your art pieces on the walls of my plant room🎨 ❤

Unique journey, for sure. I don't mind the questions, they're fun to chat about 🥰 Thanks so much!

I remember searching for people with similar hair types to get a loc count although I knew it wouldn’t be an exact science. I loc’d my hair twice before the first time it too small, second set was too big and this time was just right 😂 3 years now I love them.

3rd time's a charm! 😄 Glad you're loving your locs 💕

For me asking the loc count wasnt about me trying to get the same amount in my head. When i was researching i would look at the density and texture of ppls hair and ask if they knew how many they had. Just like me looking at how people parted their hair. You research the difference between brick laying, diamond parts, grab and go etc. Its just to get a better understanding. Even as far as me seeing how a lot of people's front hairline locs are skinnier over time, it made me decide to do mine bigger in the front. For me it was literally just research.

I dont have locs but I have been attracting alot of guys with locs..i wonder what that means 🤔 i love crinkle locs Amaris! She a whole vibe! Watching the loc videos for me gives me a different perspective whenever i see people with them, i have never thought to ask someone how many locs they have though.. that's crazy and it makes sense to not just answer the question with a simple answer bc 1) it's a whole process with locs and 2) it is that deep with locs if you know how locs originated and the culture behind them especially the spirituality behind them

Now you know when you hit the point when you realize why you follow someone? This is why…. I am 9 years in officially this month (Feb) and don’t know how many I have! As long as they are growing (goal is waist length and almost there) and thriving… That’s all that matters! 🤎🤎🤎🤎 I just love you girl!
