HUGE HYPE! Aztecs are probably the strongest candidate for that second expansion I'd say, given the popularity of the fan mod. They might even work with the creator of that mod to incorporate a similar design, considering that's sort of what they did with the latest AoE2 DLC.

Maybe the new Pantheon is a Hindu-based Indian civilization. It's a very old religion, and it's been studied a lot (compared to other polytheistic religions like South American religions), and there are many different gods.
