Myth Units are not "Unbalanced"! Use Heros! You just use Heros against them. They cant user their Special Attacks against Heros.

I've been binging all these ranked games. I've played AoM since, I don't know, 2007. As long as I've been conscious. This Retold is really great. Only now in adulthood am I realizing how cool PvP actually is.

keep supporting this game! The players and views will come. Must stay consistent building the community! T90 did this for AOEII. They did a truly amazing job with Retold, unfortunately it was just plagued with multiplayer bugs at launch that persisted too long. Happy to say the game is in terrific shape now and is ready to absorb and retain the bump that will come with the China DLC!! Thanks for all you do FITZB

Appreciate the support. Hardest issues for me is dealing with crashes while playing or casting. It happens almost every time I try to make content.

@@FitzBro Ah that suck. I no longer have crashes while playing, but friends using an xbox with keyboard/mouse still do. Hope they take it seriously since content is an important piece of growing the game

@GrantV-ny2yy it's the worst when I'm 10-15 minutes in on a cast and it just freezes. Often it is because one player has crashed.

I think is mostly due to sphinx being worse in retold. These things dealt a respectable crush damage to buildings in the original, so you could easily spam some of those + scarabs and win with eclipse (rain allowed you to get lots of food, plus empowering monuments increased the favour gained). Retold changed a lot of things that were amazing in the original. (Just look at mummies, they used to cripple when walking, now they are buff lol). Mummies don't cost gold anymore, they cost wood, same as medusai. Other myth units saw their DPS increased dramatically or last way longer now, plus OHKO moves are pretty much gone (medusai no longer insta kill, they just take a lto of your HP, mummies neither, but they can spam lots of vassals now). Anyway, Ra lacks A LOT of early game firepower. If they returned sphinx to their original state, he would be in a better spot. Wadjet has always been mediocre, and all barracks units have always been pretty bad early, so you're not really fixing Ra's weak early in retold. But hey, trolls were useless in the original and now they actually do damage + scatter troops with their special.

Resign, Kvoth realized he had made a mistake picking that fight so he used bronze but it had little effect and Kvoth had used up almost his whole army by that point plus flaming weapons. Boit still had a bunch of Hersirs and trolls and a bunch of Kvoth's villagers were nearby for the picking. Plus Boit had walled off two gold mines outside of his base and Kvoth had pretty much used up all of his base's gold mine and hadn't really secured another. Basically Kvoth was playing it risky with his economy and then made a bad choice of engaging and then doubling down instead of retreating. He had placed himself in a very precarious position and then made a critical error that he immediately realized had lost him the game.
