Aonach Beag, Aonach Mor, Glen Nevis

This walk takes in the two Munros of Aonach Beag and Aonach Mor in the Nevis range. A classic winter day with blue sky and no wind. The powered snow made things a bit tougher than normal but all great fun for some early winter walking.
The low temperatures and icy road conditions in the glen had us leave the car in the lower car park which added an extra hour + height to the day as we slithered the road to and from the upper parking area.

Yet another incredible video. I am a pensioner and have done a huge amount of walking in the Highlands. But never did I walk this time of year, the days are just too short. You are a real goer. To do the Aonachs in such a short day is a real achievement.

Absolutely stunning Charlie & Mike👍 it certainly doesn’t get much better than that. Views as far as the eye could see. Yeh it’s a steep wee drop back down to the col and wise having crampons and axe at the ready. Wasn’t surprised you didn’t see anyone else as I think only you 2 could get up and back down before dark🤣🤣 gutted I didn’t get out, recovering from a bout of covid🥲🥲 Hopefully these conditions remain for a bit. Great video, Charlie, of a great route in some superb conditions - could hardly have been better. Brought back so many memories of when we did this back in the early 1980's before the ski development came to Aonach Mor. Difficult to chose which of the two tops has the better views - Mor has the great views towards Loch Eil, but Beag has a better view of Nevis, Carn Mor Dearg and the Mamores. Never tried that route of descent, although have been on Meall Cumhann which offers a great panorama of the Mamores.

Hi Mountainarena, I fly the drone as a home based hobby as it's a bit lightweight for the Scottish hills. I also don't want the drone flying to impact the dynamics of our normal walking day where the focus is on getting tops. Cheers, Charlie
