Amazing experience! How long did it took you? Was it hard?

Hello, This walk is about 9km and took us 3.5hrs. We are experienced walkers who are hill fit so you can easily extend the time by a few hours for less frequent hill goers. Here is some other information regarding this walk from Walkhighlands....www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/blabheinn.shtml Cheers

Wow , looks stunning just reached first hundred with two friends, we're hitting a wall with the traveling, etc any tips from a well seasoned one
@charliemccartney70553 күн бұрын
Hello, That's always the problem when you get into three figures as you find out your hours travelling are longer than the time walking. No real easy answer, on distant day trips we'll leave 01:00ish and have a few hours sleep in the car or roadside tent before walking. Its all depends on how you can handle that routine. Through the longer days we'll have an overnight in the tent and walk both days to maximise the number of Munros to the gallon. We also have had a walking week in May for years which has been successful in collecting many of the further away Munros. I hope you continue to enjoy the Munro journey as I suspect there are a few you have still to complete that will get into your top six. Enjoy.... Cheers

Beautiful video! The scenery in Glen Shiel looks absolutely stunning, especially with the clear autumn weather. A’ Chralaig, Mullach Fraoch-choire, and Ciste Dhubh are such impressive peaks, and the addition of Am Bathach makes this loop look like an incredible day out. Really enjoyable to watch!

We normally complete the Fisherfield six in a single outing from Kinlochewe so it was nice to break them down for a change after getting stormed off the mountain on a previous visit. It's a magic remote area which cries out for being done in clear conditions just to fully enjoy the adventure. Enjoy, when you get around to them. Cheers

Fantastic video of a fantastic area Charlie. Good to see young Michael out with you again.lovely circuit Charlie, love the scramble up to the 2nd munro and my fav out of them is the 3rd Ciste Dubh, loved the shot of Mike walking up to the summit of the 3rd. Great views in all directions. Well done again ATB Frank
@charliemccartney705513 күн бұрын
Hi Frank, Its such a stunning area with the majority of the peaks having something special about them. Ciste Dhubh is certainly up there but it's hard to pick out a favourite from this whole area if you include Glen Affric. The shot of Mike heading for the 3rd Munro was stunning and my initial thumbnail but I opted for the summit view with the two M's. I enjoyed your latest bike&hike upload on Ben Lui, very nice and a special day to remember. Take care. Cheers

@malcolmabram295713 күн бұрын
Bloomin heck. Two major ascents in one day, not to mention November (short days to boot). I found with the Munros that it was these isolated peaks, such as Ciste Dhubh, that I had to set aside for a separate climb as they could not be fitted in with a ridge walk. Good examples are Sgurr Eilde Mor in the Mamores and Mullach nan Dheiragain in the Affics. You must be really fit. The only time I ever did two major ascents in one day was Ben Hope then Ben Klibreck ( a glorious day in September), but then I had work the following day, and yes I was exhausted.
@charliemccartney705513 күн бұрын
Hi Malcolm, Yes, not a normal grouping but great getting the extra legwork. We've completed this route a few times now so we had a good idea of what to expect. The excellent conditions also give you a wee boost to keep going and prolong the day as long as possible. All good stuff... Cheers
