Well, you never know what’s going on in one’s life. I did ten years and I was DONE. Yeah, you sacrifice a retirement but if it’s for your mental health, so be it.

@@ryebread105 Thats very true, but 13 years is so dang close, plus it's medical care for life, which as we age, is probably more important than the monthly retirement checks. I had a close friend who retired as a full bird colonel in the Air Force back in the 80's and his retirement was still over 50K a year
