It actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would when Jimmy bought it. Congratulations to all involved, and I hope to see it in person one day.

Jimmy you're a genius. This thing spent almost 40 years in the desert, and nobody wanted it. Now a bunch of keyboard commandos hiding behind their avatars criticize you for taking a risk and preserving history. This nation was built by people with guts that took risk and worked hard. Ignore the losers. Viva la Maquina!

Hey, I live in Chatty as well!! I couldn’t agree more! Jimmy has done an amazing job on the Elvis Jetstar. Brings back memories I flew the jetstar 731 back in the begining of my career. It’s amazing to watch from the phone call he received that the other bidder dropped and he won the bid at auction to this.

@@garethconnett7672 You haven't watched Jimmy's video. This is still a work in progress. The interior isn't done because they didn't have time. He had a couple professional detailers come in an clean the interior the best they could. They said there were a few stains they had trouble getting out. His goal is to keep the original interior, but he's going to make it more functional. Air conditioning is high on the list. The cockpit still needs a lot of work. They're going to reupholster the seats and they still need to finish installing all of the controls from the chassis. They basically just had time to hook up the bare minimum before they left. Stuff like the switch for the jakes was absent. I'd like to think one of the longer term goals would be to have a functioning lavatory and kitchen. That'd eliminate the need to bring a second RV along for 1 or 2 day trips.

He paid $250,000 for the Jet, put $100,000 in parts and labor into it for a total of $350,000. Not sure how much the Wing Tags brought in.
@Durandalski3 ай бұрын
He’s a good enough businessman not to tell, but I did the math on the number of tags made and how much they’re selling for. If I remember correctly if he sold every tag made he would nearly double the money he spent on the Jetstar originally. He says in the video he’s sold half the tags so far so I would guess the original purchase price is just about covered, though not the RV build. I think he always planned for the tags to cover the whole project plus a little extra if they all sell. I figured out at the beginning that was his plan from the get go. He’s both a good businessman and a good showman so he plays up how crazy it is what he’s doing as if it’s all spontaneous, but folks forget he made his fortune as an entrepreneur. He had a complete plan to not only break even but make a profit plus steady income off the whole thing before he ever spent 230k plus on the Elvis Jet. :)

I guess if you’re a Vernon Presley fan, then this is your plane. Elvis never stepped foot on this plane, Vernon was involved in buying it but the deal went bad. I would love to see documents of Elvis ever doing interior work. This was just a catch and release buy as to why you will never find photos of Elvis with this plane. Pricilla doesn’t have a clue because she doesn’t. She was just there at the auction for exposure and nothing more.
@derekchapel27833 ай бұрын
To be absolutely honest…. Elvis would’ve loved this RV no doubt as it’s cool. Just work on finding proof before you claim things that never happened. All you have is his name on a title. You were better off spending that money on a car that Elvis was actually inside of, with pictures to prove. So please stop trying to sell Elvis’ name for your benefit.
