The lighter tan colors disrupt and conceal shapes and patterns very well when you are in the sunlight. Just enough green to match the sparse green in the environment. Awesome video! AOR2 is still extremely effective in your TX Winter environment. I find the most effective camo patterns have a sufficient percentage of light colors to reflect light as in the natural surroundings. Great examples are WW2 German Splittertarnmuster and Erbsenmuster patterns, which make them very difficult for the human eye to detect. Like trying to find a Ptarmigan. Thanks for sharing!
@fakecubed4 жыл бұрын
Not outstanding, but really not bad at all. It was your silhouette that gave you away in most of these, rather than the color. The Navy really did a good job with these, especially considering how well this pattern does in spring/summer. The first example was really good; I didn't see you at all until you moved. The second one was more obvious--possibly because I knew the tells of shadow and body shape after seeing the first one, or maybe you were closer in it--but the third one was really pretty easy. Shadow gave you away, and maybe you were closer still in that one. Fourth and fifth one were almost too easy to pick you out of the leaves and brush/trees. I couldn't pick you out in any of the following examples except the last one, and that was where you looked a little too much like you didn't belong. The other ones where I didn't pick you out were because you used concealment brilliantly. Your silhouette disappeared as did the light/shadow betrayal. Nicely done. This was very informative and gives me some bit of confidence in the digital camo pattern that I just can't get behind, given the superior quality of the newest pattern that so much closer to flecktarn (which I think works brilliantly). This video was very informative and well executed. I appreciate your contribution to our continued education, especially to old dudes such as myself who really liked the woodland camo of yesteryear (circa 1980-2000 or so (I got out in 1999)). Your method and style of instruction is quite familiar. Keep up the good work.

People underestimate just how green nature actually is. Fresh vegetation, even sparse vegetation, is never an olive drab. It’s a lot brighter than people give it credit for. I know on pendleton bright faded woodland MARPAT tends to blend into sparse dry brush far better that desert or new woodland MARPAT does
@throatnotchingtroutzzz67895 жыл бұрын
Works very well, I think. Maybe not in the most "dry/brown" areas, here, but still a lot of spots with green grass, where this pattern blend fine. Almost a little darker, digital variant of Multicam, in some way? Interesting as usual!!

I thought this was very effective in the summer woodland. It was surprisingly effective in the Texas winter woodland, but there were a lot of shots with green in them. I wonder if it would be as effective a little further north where there is no green grass and only scattered evergreen bushes and trees. Some of the desert camo you’ve done in the winter, might also be good in summer woodlands. There are not many videos that illustrate that.
@sebastianbosek52222 жыл бұрын
Grass in the wintertime in suburbs has the same color profile as AOR II with the dried, dead grass as the tans, with the more living grass as the greens. This could potentially make a fantastic wintertime camouflage for the suburbs.

I enjoy watching your channel, especially on camouflage, and I'm aware of your surroundings. What about snow camo?? I live way up north.
