After the streamlining of Stormcasts and Orruks and the addition of the disease mechanic, I was quite surprised to see that the wheel of curroption is still there. Thought they would cut that to keep the army from being too complex with too much to track. Otherwise, the changes look cool. I especially applaud the addition of more Battleline If units. (Though I mourn the lack of Pestigors as a third Battleline option.) Btw, I really like how you present all the Battleline (If) options for an army in your videos! Always worth a screenshot for a quick visual reference.

Thanks Star. I was happy to see the Cycle of Corruption was still around and lots of the simplification happened on the warscrolls. I like the complexity in the army now

Great stuff Coach, looking forward to the book, have ordered it today. This is the first time I will have played Nurgle but I'm going all in to fit in with our Ghyran campaign. Thematically Nurgle feels to me like a slow grinding wall of attrition, having said that I'm going Droning Guard because I want lots of insects flying about!

Nurgle was always a slow grind army until AoS changed them into one of the fastest armies in the game which was always weird to me. I think there is some good stuff in plague drone and pusgoyles

Thanks for the video, it was very concise, clear and to the point. Another plus, I loved the art at the end. One thing I'd change is the music, it's kind of not fitting in theme.

Honestly I am glad for this book to be played as a slow plague, no longer run and charge but it will feel like a disease moving through you, which feels good for Nurgle!

Look forward to when my group gets this and to face off against it. Seems a little swingy, but otherwise the DPS has gone up and the durability is still there. Also, while they are still overall simplifying the ruleset, this tome shows that not all armies are going to get quite as simplified as Stormcast and Orcs did.

You’re right with the simplification… the warscrolls are cleaner but there is still lots of complexity within the allegiance

I am absolutely mad keen to run this army with the new rules. My Blightking chubby lads will bring sweaty diseased death. But I really need a big GUO or Glottkin.

You'd definitely want a Glottkin if you are running Blightkings... though it's quiet pricey

I'm honestly worried about the price hikes. Like, Blightkings at *250?!* The fact that they can spread damage easily is neat, but I fear that with lowered offensive potential, the limitations of Disease Counters (and the fact that the damage is delayed to the end of the turn) could severely hamper their ability to actually hold the line (and objective).

They are more of an anvil now 4 wounds each, means the +1 wound spell let's each model count as 2. And they are battleline always. Always healing at top of round. Army wide 5+ ward save. 50 pts a model for that good of an anvil sounds about right.

I want to get some games with the book to see the offensive power of BK’s. They gained more attacks (though lost the exploding 6s) but should be more durable. Lets see what it looks like after some games

It's unfortunate that the Befouling Host requires a daemon general. I was hoping that, for once, one of these subfactions would actually balance a mixed army, instead of making you focus on one or the other. Technically there's nothing stopping you from mixing that one, but for purposes of my army's lore and its characters, it sucks that it can't be either. -_-

This feels like a brutal nerf in every direction. Maybe because I have so many demons. Think I preferred glottkin being 395 and having the attack aura. Oh well find out in battle

@@AoSCoach my main argument is they nerfed the 5+ ward save artifact for everyone cause it was an auto take... but then gave this entire faction a 5+ ward save on everything.... on top of sooo many other good abilities. Anyone thinking this is unplayable hasn't tried a few lists. The drowned men flying bug demons spam is soooo good and a harder dps check than gargants.
