I purchased the same snake s18 Directly from Darren at Aostirmotors warehouse out of Toronto Canada. Shipped to my door was $1580 Canadian money. We have lots of snow where I am near Saskatoon so I wont get to actually try it out until Spring. I don't have scenery near my home so I bought a bike rack so my lady and I will go find some . I subscribed as well so will be watching for more of your content. Take good care. @@humblegeorge

I remember mine being around $1,600 two years ago. I hope you like it too.Remember the tires puncture easy and go flat in seconds ! Now with 940 miles ridden this Summer I have a much better Idea of this Bike.It has been great ! The tires are getting worn down from only driving public highways as could be expected.I have lost 50 lbs of blubber and feel like I did at 22 years old ! And the bike gets me twenty miles plus when using the assist function and never the hand throttle.I always pedel at a fast pace in 7th gear and 3rd assist.Of corse steep hills require 1st gear 3rd assist.I cannot pedel fast enough to keep pace with higher assists.But I am averaging 22 miles per hour at my full clip.Bottom line,,,,,,,I love it :>)

Sounds great! The assembly is not hard but takes time.Seven hours of charging and you are on you'r way please be sure you can actually get 7th gear ! It is tough to get.1st also a must ! Adjusting them is a real pisser too.Perhaps you are better here than I am. try 3rd assist and seventh gear for road riding.Peadle hard and fast ! and watch the meter to see how much drain is going on.Coasting down long grades will build back the charge at least until you are below 65% than not so much.But the disc breaks are fabulous !!!!! Just be sure they do not drag when off.And tire pressure ! keep it high as you can as it helps cut the drag of wide tires.Enjoy and please let me know how you like it.Cheers to you .Thank you for this comment.

@humblegeorge
@humblegeorge Жыл бұрын
Truth. Not something we get much Stephen when it comes to what they tell us.80 miles becomes 30 miles in real life and six hour recharge times are about the normal.Now to tell you the good news :>) With a full 100% charge Using the assist #3 after I start out at Assist #0 for a mile or so,,,,,,,the drag from the motor can ware you out fast ! like a break sticking is the feeling.Now your in 7th gear going down the side of the street.You hit Assist #1 not too much happens,,,,,,#2 a slight help,,,,,,#3 man it's like a tail wind or a big guy pushing you !!!! You excellerate to 22-23 miles per hour,,,,,your now peadling 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2 your ass off and very little resistance very little leg fategue at all.23 mph easy. You can do this for 11 miles or so get to where you are going and return for a 22 mile drive and still have some battery ! Even very steep hills and first gear #3 assist and you can make them with little battery drain.Now #4 and #5 assist will get you going faster than you really can peadle comfortably 4th yes,,,,5th forget it.But your now in the 28-32 mile per hour range.And battery is draining FAST ! Down hill grades no peadling and you recharge the battery as when you peadle faster than when the assist can move you.So you can with practice go a nice distance and have a great time loosing weight too.52 pounds off in 1,266 miles :>) Tires are getting thin though. Thank you for commenting .Hope to hear from you again.:>)

@@humblegeorge thanks!! Yes I also noticed that about the battery charge times. Almost all seem to have 4-6 hour charge times. I was actually hoping that configuration would go more miles, maybe at least 60 on a single charge but maybe that’s too much to ask for from an ebike. It’s just that I’m still baffled at the claim from another ebike manufacturer that their 350W 36V 10AH battery will go 70 miles while this setup from Astiromotor May not even make it to 30miles.
@humblegeorge
@humblegeorge Жыл бұрын
From what I have found there is one for about $7,000.00 that will go 80 miles.It has two motors and two batterys.Both motors can run at the same time,or you can choose just one.{Mountain Grizzly } comes to mind yet I may have it wrong.If I can find the review I will post it for you here.Stay tuned we just made a camera mount for my helmet :>) Now to somehow fix the Audio as wind noise is killing the b-roll for a good video.Thank you for returning and commenting new Friend :>)

Ebike manufactures tend to embellish thier reports on how many miles thier product goes on a given battery, in my experience.i have the same bike as is in this video and would get 15 miles on a full battery charge when it was new, using only the throttle. @humblegeorge
@humblegeorge Жыл бұрын
NO .The hub motor is mid range geared and you really need a mid motor that uses the bikes gears.Going up a steep road in first gear and third assist works if you are very strong legged.Changing to fifth assist does nothing to help you with a hub motor.Mind you the bike is ok in many ways and I road it yesterday I have driven it 1,888 miles.Good side of the road bike.Wast of time off road.

Overall, bike has good suspension off-road. I’m 6-1 210 lbs. Power output is about 1250w +/- 50w max per gauge. I can add maybe 300/leg briefly as needed and it is a weak on the torque side. Bike is huge. Standing over main bar is about 33-34". My inseam is 32. I needed a bar riser and also a seat dropper for more technical downhill trails. Overall, I’d buy it again and if you upgraded controller to 40a vs stock 30 there would be more overhead as far as overheating is concerned.

I agree with you on every point.I have bit the dust getting off it several times due to it being high for a crotch safe dismount.And it does lack torque big time ! I have 2 of these and neither of them allow the battery to just slide in easily and lock. It is a battle every time. Already broke a key off in the lock. They are very very very ridiculously heavy and will get out run by the 17 easily. Pedal assist 4 on this couldn't cruise as fast as pedal assist 1 on the 17. Brakes are not strong enough to handle the weight if you are riding up in the mountains and they are so heavy you can not ride it up any significant slope cause the motor can not handle the weight. There is no light in the back rear light. Strongly recommend going a model number or two lower. Faster, longer battery life and not as heavy. fun to bugger around the streets but useless in the mountains.

I never had anything before this.So as you are stating honestly I whole heartedly agree with you.It is heavy and I have never ridden it anywhere but the road side.17 miles and it's on fumes or sparks as i were.However it is solid and I have never found the breaks to fail or even fade and I run some steep roads.I lost 53 pounds in 1,900 miles.So seeing I can not afford another one.I guess I will do my best.Thank you for your supporting comment.This will help others where I was not able to.Cheers to you.
