Gojo stepping on the ants with his Infinity Technique and giggling like a maniac was basically just a way of saying that he can effortlessly crush all the Higher Ups, but he's simply allowing them to live. Cuz he quite literally maintains the balance of the Jujutsu World in his hands.

There's 20 fingers in total (remember Sukuna has 4 arms), Mahito stole 6 fingers that Jujutsu Tech possessed plus we don't know how many in total that the special curse group has now. Also, there's clearly something special about Megumi Fushiguro since they've been hinting at Sukuna's interest in him all season. At THIS point in the story, we don't know exactly why though. Only a few more episodes left in this season, then you get to watch the movie, and 2nd season comes out in 3 months. Good time to be a JJK fan.

Great reaction! Mahito and the rest of the Courses took the 6 fingers that the school had to use them at an specific moment + the 1 that they use to kill Junpei's mother + 3 others special grade curse objects. So in total they already have 7 fingers and the school doesn't have any of them anymore.

23:05 There is no 10 fingers, it has been stated that sukuna had 4 arms and 2 faces (imaginary god) at his peak which was actually millenium ago when he was alive but then he decided to become a cursed object to reincarnate in the future (we stil don't know why he did that tho)
