I became a Christian 30 years ago and spent most of my fellowship in the white evangelical churches. And many social sermons were always on the fringe of racism. However I became weary of the issues in my community like police brutality not being addressed. I also lost a lot of white friends in the church because I would not disengage with my support of our former president Obama. I could no longer go along to get along!

well, Donnie, I grew up in Chicago and crime is only rampant in a couple of neighborhoods and it is generally where poor people live. Other than that Chicago is 2nd to none in the amenities it has to offer and that's with any large city resources are given to those areas that produce revenue strains just left river city, beautiful beautiful downtown Chicago spectacular jewel over the last 24 years and I'm using that as a marker since I graduated grad school in 2020 it looks like a beautiful chandelier all the tall glass buildings, steel structures, clean streets upscale restaurants and just regular street food stuff major hospitals, major retail some of the apartment buildings will blow your mind. Yeah that's Chicago. And yes, it does have some challenges with any major city don't forget the third largest city in America , our tax base supports all of our southern neighbors in our state our jobs support people from Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan. Yes, people come here to work on a daily basis from those dates because GOP do nit have the jobs to offer

Donnie Swaggart spoke truth from a biblical perspective. Ms. Tucker’s commentary of him absolutely did not have proper/correct biblical reference. 1) She (we) have no idea the struggles of others no matter how you think they live or what you think they have. 2) Hebrews 4:15 is in no way referring to preachers preaching/rebuking. It’s about prayer. Knowing that when you pray you are praying to a high priest who understands everything you’re facing and going through. Preaching can consist of rebuking and the qualifications are not that you have to be in my shoes. No scripture even implies that! 3) The New Testament does speak against LGBTQ and other acts of sexual perversion and immorality. If the scriptures talk about it then Jesus talks about it (John 1). 4) Swaggart didn’t say the evangelicals led the abolition, he said the church did. God has only 1 church. We’re the ones who divide us into labels. He said Robert Fogel said the evangelicals were the leading voices. Problems in the church doesn’t mean those who were on the side of righteousness didn’t lead the cause. That’s how it usually works. 5) No one is rejecting immigration. We reject unvetted and unlimited ILLEGAL immigration. 6) Debt cancellation during the time of Jubilee mentioned in the OT was about individuals canceling the debt of those who owned them personally. An individual didn’t have the right to cancel debt owed to someone else. In 2024 government is not removing the debt from the books. It’s still owed and guess who’s paying it? People (taxpayers) who never owed it in the first place! 7) You and people agreeing with you see everything through the lens of race/color. The scriptures do not. I pray you gain a much better understanding of the Word of God allowing Him to transform you into His way of thinking and being!

The problem with the African American when it comes to voting, is not the right "to vote," but the removal of his right "to think before voting." The democratic party have done everything in its power to take that right away. Swaggart was addressing pastors siding with evil rather than the Word of God. Thank God for those using a biblical perspective to cast their vote, as opposed to "Black Idolatry. God is touching the hearts of His people..black and white.

As usual when someone wants to protect their "sacred cows", their "idols", the intellect comes in with historical facts to back off truth. You may be incensed because Jesus is requesting you to take your cows and idols to the altar to be burned. Truth trumps facts anyday. The truth is social issues would not be an issue if the church moved in power as it's supposed to. Have you been healed of your offenses? You have been offended because of your Blackness? Sounds like it. Have you thought of facing the Lord with your rhetoric? When will you submit your intellect to the mind of Christ?
