Fun Fact, 411602 was the only 4CEP that carried the Connex livery, the unit was involved in a collision at Spa Road Junction in 1999 and as a result was sent to Eastleigh for repairs and while it was there it was decided that when repairs to it's bodywork were completed the unit would be repainted into the Connex livery and that's the story behind that.

I never even knew this was coming. Some people knew, apparently there were leaks, but I had no idea until the trailer dropped on Wednesday. It gives me hope actually, that we might see a 421/422/423 pack one day. If AP could do this for the 411, then surely they could do it for the CIG's and VEP's. In fact, I'm sure the scenario's that came with the CEP are aiming for that. There are multiple consists that should be CIG's or VEP's, but are using the CEP instead. Seems AP isn't even entertaining the notion of using the old DTG 421/423's anymore.

Closest I've got to reliving childhood memories is playing a 421 in southern livery on the Chatham mainline..and while great with the sound. It doesn't come with indoor cameras. But the noise of the electric motor vs the plastic electrostar priceless

58:53 Scenario Incomplete Guess you need to be a bit more aggressive with the use of throttle, and less aggressive with the use of brakes ;) and get the approach nailed, because you were actually on time and set to complete the scenario before the approach failure. Nah I didn't, the stopping pattern was Bromley South, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, which some trains still do to this day in fact

I mean, this is awesome and really well done, but what I don't like is the fact that to use the included scenarios you need to buy like 10-15 other things from them according to the store page...

Well you have a few options, don't play the scenarios, swap out the content using TS Tools, play them regardless by pressing Ctrl+F2 and cancel when the initial error pops up, drive them in Quick Drive, or learn to make your own scenarios with what you've got. Realism comes at a cost as you need more specific items to recreate things more accurately

There are some preserved units, a few which are complete and there's also many more individual vehicles preserved throughout the country, however, I don't think anything is operational, if anything they'd only get used as coaches on heritage railways because they are not electrified

Not necessarily! 4VEP no. 3417 is currently being restored back to a good enough condition that it can be used for railtours on the main line! Their latest milestone was getting hold of GSM-R equipment for the cabs, something which is necessary to work on the national rail network.

You'll need a really good computer to have it on max settings, my poopy uni computer can't even handle dynamic lighting being on 😭😭😭
