Collaboration watches make a brand appear desperate for recognition. Rolex handles this correctly by letting people come up with the goofy nicknames for their watches and not acknowledging it on the case back or dial. I agree that too many new or limited editions cheapens the brand.

38-39mm is the best and most elegant option for wrist size, even 36mm on some models due to bracelet looks great. Big watches look gaudy… And yes yellow gold looks gorgeous.

I only have an AP royal oak offshore and after couple of years, i just knew that AP caliber was not fantastic if compared to PP or VC (on the same category), even if i move down to lower level category in terms of pricing, the caliber reliability also cannot come near to my rolex and grand seiko. But if you have lots of monies and can just change watch like you upgrade your phone, then go buy AP, else take my advice, simply go for an entry level rolex or gs is good enough for day to day, if staying in not so safe environment, gs will be better because wearing rolex may get rob......lol
