I have 3 of these Didun Design , different colors , and they are over 1 year old all of them , running perfect , and if not- very easy to regulate , put them on the Timegrapher , regulate to 5 sec. fast dial up , and they will be spot on when on the wrist. One of them runs +2 - 2 a month , in the box , dial up.

I bought mine for $40 including shipping last November, it just arrived more than two months after the purchase and I thought I was scammed and that my purchase wouldn’t arrive because it had past the two months ali express guarantee. Hi Oleg. Hope all is going well. Looks like you are in the middle of a snow storm. I have 2 of these on order, a blue dial bought on eBay that has been shipped and is on the proverbial slow (very!) boat from China. It is shown as going to a CUE processing center (whatever that is) in Shanghai on Jan 28. Bought on Jan 11. Projected delivery sometime between now and March 19. Bought a "brown sugar" dial version from Select Calibre on January 26. Still has not been shipped. Will keep you posted as things develop.

The blue dial arrived today. (Ordered Jan 11, rec'd Feb 27, so leave lots of lead time if you want one for a gift.) I will have to admit that I was skeptical about some of the comments from reviewers on unboxing, but it is all true. Remarkably considering the price point, this watch is beautiful. Good construction, good finish, and a good reflection of the original. The screw in link pins were easy to use when removing links to fit my wrist. (I have a 7 1/4-inch wrist and removed 3 links.) . You really need a set of jeweler’s screwdrivers to unscrew them, as the screw heads are tiny. Also keep a pair of needle nose plier handy to pull out the pins once unscrewed as they don't stick out very far. The watch began running immediately when removed from the box and was easy to set once it dawned on me that it had a screw in crown. The movement is hackable and it appears that it can be manually wound, but is an automatic movement. This watch was bought from eBay seller “salmanstore16” for $95. Can’t report on accuracy or reliability yet as it just arrived today. A side note is that though it is a Didun Design watch as marked on the dial, the Didun name wasn’t on the box. It is marked “MC.” Otherwise my watch and the one Oleg has appear to be identical. There were no papers of any kind inside the box. More later. I ordered the “brown sugar” version from Select Caliber on January 26. It finally shipped yesterday on February 26 and is somewhere on its way. More later on that too.

Hey Oleg and Bond, I have two Didun Design "Royal One" watches - the first is Quartz with a black dial and the second is Automatic with a blue dial. The automatic didn't come with the gold coloured Didun Design rotor as most do, it still had attached what I assume is the original plain rotor. And marked on the rotor is "Miyota - Japan". So just maybe yours has a Miyota movement as well with a Chinese aftermarket rotor. It's conceivable that they buy Miyota's quality rejects at a discount price. That could explain the crappy accuracy of mine and yours, and others. Thoughts?

When I originally posted a review of this watch quite a few people recognized the movement as Seagull. But I don't know yours could be with a Miyota movement.

Thanks for the info Oleg. I'm not a huge fan of the AP Royal Oak, so an Chinese homage for $75 or more has little interest for me, though I'm sure many do. I am curious however why you wouldn't regulate an automatic watch that is consistently 40 seconds fast, as it should be relatively easy to get it within maybe 10 second or less, and no worries of harming the WR. Btw, Bond is not giving up that stick!.. lol.

@@24hourstime - It's such a satisfying feeling to be able to regulate any & all of your mech/auto watches that are off by 30 sec. or more, to within 10 sec., some within a couple. You should try it again & start with a $15-$20 cheap Chinese watch, so it won't be a tragedy to mess up, but just take your time & be careful. If I can do it, anyone can!

Greeting Oleg, I bought my DIDUN Royal Oak Homage back in August 2018. I love the design and build of this piece. The movement has been, "fair", averaging about +\- 10 sec a day. I think its a great value for money but let us not fool ourselves here, "it is what it is and that's all that it is...". Hey man I look forward to your videos. You are one of my favorite reviewers. Oleg, it looks like it would not be difficult to remove the back on one of these, which again turns my thoughts to regulation. Do you have a watch timing machine, and if so, are they difficult to use? I am thinking of buying one. These watches are handsome enough, it seems to me, to be worth a little effort to get regulated.

Bit the bullet and ordered a Timegrapher from Amazon. $135 On my blue dial Didun I am getting readings ranging from -3 to +13 SPD, mostly around +8 to 10. Will test the "brown sugar" when it arrives.

My thought is that it is inexpensive and should be easy to replace should I make a fatal error, but that is unlikely and it would be nice to have one as a good time keeper because they are such beautiful watches. Or I might find another cheap watch I don't care that much about as the first experiment. Of course with my blue dial the readings are not all that bad just as it is.

I ordered a sterile version of the didun royal oak homage off ebay a few months ago for around 70$ it has no name on the face but it looks and feels good on the wrist. It came with a Miyota 21 Jewel inside and it seems to keep time pretty accurately which is lucky. However mine has a mineral crystal instead of sapphire. Overall i'm pleased with it at that price :)

I'm so glad I did not pull the trigger on one of these as my girlfriend loves the look of the AP Royal Oak which I probably won't ever be able to afford. I thought hey maybe she'd like this but considering how poor the QC seems to be I'm glad I didn't go for it. Low and behold she likes the Hamilton Murph better anyways so bang I think I will get her that. What are your thoughts on the Hamilton Murph btw? A bit of follow up. I ordered my "rose gold" "brown sugar" dial version from Select Calibre. They did come through, but the delivery is glacial! Placed the order on January 26 and got the watch on April 2. Watch runs and looks good. It came on a so-so fake alligator leather strap. I ordered the matching metal bracelet with it for a pretty reasonable price, around $18. It is nice, but I don't know if I will ever be able to get it installed. The leather band has metal prongs on it that fit into the side of the watch case that are held on by large screw pins with tiny heads that run through the lugs that I have not been able to unscrew with my jeweler's screwdrivers. I finally stopped out of fear I would ruin the screw heads and really be up the creek. If anybody else has solved this issue I'd love to know how.

BEWARE OF DESIGN FLAW!!! The moral of this story is that if you want a metal band on one of these Didun Royal Oaks ORDER IT WITH THE METAL BAND PREINSTALLED unless you want to live with the not-so-good leather band forever! The leather bands are attached to the watch via two small metal links on each side of the watch case. These (four in total) are attached to the lugs on one end via a screw in pin and to the leather band via a pin that runs through the end of the leather. Each lug has a separate screw in pin, so there is a total of four. This system, while clever, is poorly designed. The fit is so extremely tight that the pressure on the screw-in pins locks them up tight as a drum. The pin the runs through the end of the leather is also under such pressure that it is close to impossible to remove. Following the advice of another buyer I had to cut the leather band off and dig the pieces next to the watch case out. This relieved some of the pressure and I was able to get two of the screw-in pins out. Unfortunately, the other two metal links were so extremely tight against the case that I could not remove the screw-in pins hold them in place and the effort damaged the pin heads. I don’t know if I can get the pins drilled out or not because the threads on the pins are right under the pin heads and doing so might destroy the threads they screw into. I now have an unwearable watch whose case may be ruined.

There is still some Corgeut sterile version of royal oak homage, with miyota 821A movement, more expensive but much more atractive in my opinion. I bought a Sekaro royal oak homage (with a miyota 8215 and a slight diferent dial) on AliExp for 70€.

Hiya,yes I think you are correct.I have a couple of Winners that equally seem to appear under various names but the same watch clearly and movement which to be fair can be regulated to fantastic tolerances! All made I believe by the same company including your AP Homages.Who in their right mind would try and take a Chinese manufacturer to court? They are not sold as AP,s or in other styles Rolex and don't use cloned movements of the originals.They clearly know the loopholes I suspect.Not seen this AP homage before so a cool video.Cheers.

I got my Didun for $55, had a quality issue, had a bad experience with the manufacturer, got a partial refund from Aliexpress. After having the hands corrected by my local watchmaker, its been a great watch. Mine runs at +12 seconds/ day.

Hi Oleg. I ordered two different times a similar watch with the Royal Oak design with chronograph. 1st one came in defective and the second one came in the mail not working either. The minute hand keeps getting stuck so the time can't advance so It can't even keep time. Fighting to get my money back or replacement is a pain in my rear. I might have to go through my credit card, but these come in many different brand names and they keep changing. I think they come from the same factory and just put a different dial on it. Same movement, same pile of garbage. Terrible quality control. Seen these on Wish.com and dhgate.com in a verity of variations and brand names keep changing. I would not recommend any of these. Perhaps someone does make a good ap homage to the Royal Oak. I got an offshore one. I'm fighting these people to get refunded. Last time I had to go to my credit card company. I videotaped the watch with the second hand going around and around and the minute hand not moving.

I guess it really wouldn't matter what names it come with, Peter Lee, Didun Design and oven.. let's say Oleg & Bond. (Actually Oleg & Bond sound the coolest, ha ha ha). it is just a cheap copy homage watches. However, I have bought one via aliexpress, the same one you were showing. it took over 3 MONTHS for me to receive. I even forgot that I had ordered the watch. ha ha ha. anyway, I enjoyed it for few days. As you know, the accuracy is horrible, going too fast and of course, fit&finish isn't what I expect to be....BUT again, for what I paid, it has amazing bracelet and casing and so forth. for the price, like many other Chinese watches, not really much to complain about. If they really do use Miyota and improve on few fit and finish and QC, they can really do well. It is just right there to be....most of lower end Micro brands (Tisell comes to mind). Not sure whether you will really go up a notch or two... Hope they do. anyway, for mine, I sold it via ebay. I got my money back easily. mmmmm.... Oleg & Bond watches.... a nice ring to it. :+)

Perhaps, the homage vs replica, as because I don't find them to be different as most of them come from China. They just change the name etc then boom its a business for them and making money. I never have heard there's no issues with those kind of companies there are always issues. But however, their products can sometime be a jaw-dropping as they can copy almost exactly something that looks like a thousand dollars watch appearances. especially, rolex submariner, I couldn't tell the difference anymore when I make an eye to eye comparison.
