Not being able to get that last game is always a mental challenge. Keeping your composure and relying on your game won it in the end. Another fun to watch video.

Thanks Clutch. It was tough not being able to cinch this one down, but we got there in the end!

Another great analysis. I'm learning a lot just by watching. You talked about your one rail kicking system. Do you have a link to it?

Thanks for being here, and glad to hear it! This video describes and demonstrates this particular system in a pretty concise way: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5y0h3qFbc-hjLssi=HYPVP-tu0lupInVg

Yeah, he should do the commentary before he plays the match! Why wait till after it has happened. Even better, mic up and do the commentary during the match, or hook up the brain probe and let the most inner thoughts come out.

For your 8 ball break are you 2 diamonds up and 1 diamond in?
@OnTheSnap6 ай бұрын
Not quite 1 diamond in from the long rail. Lots of tables have a worn-down spot about a half-ball from the rail at the headstring. I put mine close to that, with enough room to comfortably cue down.

Great videos always good content and informative. I'm a low skill level player trying to improve my game but I feel like I'm going in reverse sometimes even though I am practicing 3/4 times more than before. Have you experienced this and how did you over come it?
@OnTheSnap6 ай бұрын
Thanks Anthony, glad you're enjoying the content. Really good question about practicing and experiencing setbacks. Without some context or knowing the specifics of what you're working on it's hard to diagnose the issues. Generally speaking, however, when you're working on integrating new skills (patterns, techniques, self-talk, emotional regulation, etc.), there is always going to be a setback; your system has to work harder to incorporate that new skill, and things feel harder because the new skill is not yet automatic. For me, I try to focus on one or two new skills at a time and set up a system to know when I am getting results. Billiards University has awesome resources for Fundamentals and Skills Exams that give you a way to track progress.

The question is how are you practicing . Are you doing drills to work on your stroke or position play your struggling with. Practice with a purpose. Just playing racks or knocking balls in isn’t the best practice. I play the 9 ball ghost . Then I’llset the timer on my phone and do a drill for 10 mins. Then play the ghost again. Going back and fourth between the 2 keeps me interested

Visualize an imaginary line from the middle of your cue ball on your practice stroke, to the middle of the cue ball when it hits the object ball. Make sure that your tip follows through accurately along that straight line. You will start to see an increase on your accuracy leading to more balls made. If possible, I encourage joining the APA if you have not yet done so.

You kind of snatched back your cue on the 14 ball in the the 3rd rack.. not your usual smooth stroke
@OnTheSnap6 ай бұрын
Do you mean at 21:39? That one does look snatchy. Definitely contributed to the miss.
@johnpadovano41046 ай бұрын
@1:01:37 could you have played a rail first with left spin to get make the 2 and break out the 8,9 and ok shape on the 3?
@OnTheSnap6 ай бұрын
I don't think about rail-first shots as much as I could. I'm not sure if it was on here or not since the CB was already so close to the rail. I just got way too straight on the 2.
Playing much better today but not having a circus going on around you while playing makes a huge difference.

Great to see another video. @36:50 You didn't rush it. You missed the 6 because you wanted to drift right to be straighter on the 3 🤣🤣🤣. Greedy... I must have made the same mistake a hundred times, and my greed will make me miss a hundred more. 🤣🤣🤣 @45:16 1 in the bottom side pocket and send the cue ball into the 6-9 combo or the kick carom 9 ball. You got nothing on the 2 anyways.😂 @52:15 Looks like the carom 9 was totally there. @58:45 Great Safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No reward tho. A little less speed and the masse would have taken. Good try tho. @1:00:50 Stun towards the 6 was probably the play. All in all, a decent win Anthony!

Thanks Ryu. Definitely got greedy for shape on the 3. 45:16 I like what I did here. Playing shape for a good safety is the way to go sometimes.
