What I appreciate about this boat is that you can actually enjoy the beauty of the boat itself as it goes by at a speed that looks to me like scale(ish) speed. A lot of folks are interested in warp-speed only, but maybe there are some other KZbinrs out there who share my view?

@@robertschmidtrcmodelboats6483 if you get it to 40 mph that is way plenty.. your trouble is not enough air to the motor... trust me they need a ton of cool air, then you will seethe power rise up a lot. nothing wrong with the motor at all..

Agree with you entirely. I used to run a Lesro Rapier (38 inch) with Merco 61 power on rubber mounts and it looked just the part of an offshore cruiser without all that whining that the modern brushless motors make. Just a gentle burble from the well silenced exhaust. I still have it.

Plan to upgrade to a newer motor and outdrive like a Zenoah or Quickdraw and an Arrow Shark drive.

I know this is an old video but i had to check it out and im glad that i did coz it is such an awesome boat and i hope to be getting an apache style hull later this year, i also love how you got water exiting the exhaust system I've been looking at different ways of doing it and I'm very curious to know how it was done on this boat anyway if you happen to get this I'd really appreciate the info cheers

I have a vacuum pump that pumps the water through the exhaust. I lost speed with the dual exhaust custom made pipe so i put the single exhaust tuned pipe back on and it runs faster.

Thanks for the comment. It's not a fast boat but runs scale speed. I hope to upgrade the engine someday.

@@robertschmidtrcmodelboats6483 That's exactly why I like this boat so much - it is more a scale model, rather than a boat built for speed only. I don't know if it's possible, but how about a four stroke engine? That would add just that little "extra" for realism. 50 to 80cc maybe? 😉
