How did he get hold of a gun? Too many guns?
@MyBizOnlu2 ай бұрын
They had them at home at least in 2023 when the FBI talked to him and his father about sons online posts about shooting. Dad claimed he didnt have access. So dad where did he get the AR-15 he used today?

This is why the new trend to lock students phones up is not working for me as a mom. I love the idea that phones are not being used at school. I love the idea even more that my kids have their phones with them at all times. I have three and it so happens they are all in a different school each and of the age that this horrendous act is happening. I hate to think our chances have gone up spreading them around. 😢 This is awful.

We need metal detectors in schools along with walking security guards not just a police parked out side !!! 14yrs old gunman … is insane ! And RESTRICTIVE GUN LAWS!!!
@melissaford7172 ай бұрын
Yep! Every high school in Philadelphia has metal detectors in place. Most of the middle schools have them, but not all of them. It's said all will have them in place soon. Maybe if this school had them, it could've made a difference. You take care 🙂

While I agree with you, it’s sad we have to turn the schools into prison-like environments just to get an education.
@melissaford7172 ай бұрын
@Tacocasaking that was the feeling when Philly installed detectors, but neighborhood beefs were finding their way into the schools. The district felt they were necessary for the safety of the students and staff alike.

@@Tacocasaking Yes I agree ! As innocent as they look … they can be cute criminals!! Law and order needs to be enforced for their safety!!! They will appreciate that as they get older !! lol .. I still get nervous when the cop pull up behind me… even though I didn’t do anything wrong lol … I Respect law enforcement! And these kids now a days long with peer pressure… mental illness .. not having resources readily available when needed put these kids at risk and this new gen lol don’t respect authority( I’m an millennial) … And I’m an parent to a 6th grader .. This is my biggest fear !! Prayers go out to the victims and the families!

Put the Lords Prayer Back in the Schools. Meet with all faiths in the United States and let " WE THE PEOPLE" come up with an agreeable exceptable wording of prayer to be said in the schools. And the Supreme Court who took it out of the schools in 1962 can re-enter it providing the wording is within the constitutional guide lines. When we do things together as a nation, We Win. Be blessed.

Give me a Break! offering prayers instead of gun safety legislation , hasn't stopped all these mass shootings and murdering of children and school staff. Action is needed. be real

we need to enforce the Red Flag law
@bigtimez9082 ай бұрын
What do you mean by that? I think it needs some adjustments. Only a judge can enforce that and they can’t if they don’t know a person is mentally unwell or breaking law before an accident like this.
@gmcxm2112 ай бұрын
@@bigtimez908 No the red flag law is supposed to be that if a parent feels their child should not be around firearms then its the parent responsibility to secure the firearm from the child. If the child commits an act like this, the parent knew of the child's condition, the parent is also charged, no judge needs to act. But California screwed that up with their version of the red flag law. This all came about because of the Sandy Hook situation. There are so many different variants of this law it's practicability unless. But a 14 year old getting ahold of a gun to use in the school shooting, those guns need to be in a locked gun safe. I'm an avid competitive shooter. If I had children in living in the house all my guns would be in a gun safe to where I only had access to it. Instead of trying to ban assault weapons it should be a federal law all firearms need to be locked up if you have children living with you. It's pretty sad we are now at the point to where we have to start punishing the parents of kids who use guns to do these kinds of shootings. You think parents would take the responsibility to teach their kids on how to use the guns in a responsible way. But too many KZbin videos showing adults treating guns as if these were toys. But no the parents should also be brought up on charges in this case. The only reason to charge the parents is to send a message to other gun owning parents, take responsibility in teaching your child gun safety and secure these fire arms from your kids if you're not home.
