Oh yes!!!! The statements from these 2 extraordinary young ladies was incredible, rock solid, absolute pure gold. I feel a massive amount of admiration for you both and your ability to stand y'all, face the evil responsible for this hideous cruelty and tell the world your story. I'm so deeply sorry that you and all your school mates and faculty were subjected to such horror. But, from the ashes, rise these 2 remarkably brave, strong, principled humans who refuse to break and will continue to show the world that the future is indeed in good hands with young adults like this. You ladies give us hope. Continue on your path. Love and Live Large!! You're amazing!!

Sadly, I got a little off subject with my original post below, and I apologize to all for doing so. For the record, the student (a15-year-old sophomore) is responsible for the shootings, his Father bought this firearm just a few days prior to this terrible incident. I am doing a little research on the entire event so hopefully I can assist all in coming up with solutions to help control situations like this! I have listened to both students speech's, and I am touched by both of them. The second girl, I can relate what she is going thru. This I will have to go into another day, but I understand what she is saying based on my own personal experiences. I want to state the shooter used a 9mm semi-auto Handgun to commit this crime. No rifles, Long Guns, or AR's was used! Apparently something was going on in the students life to make him commit this terrible crime. I would be interested in hearing opinions from those concerned. Thanks in advance for your help. Most of all, I would like to help and find ways to help both of these victims in this video. I am not sure where they are at this point in life, but I am looking at all avenues.

donate to the victims' fund and the shooter was just a misbehaving ungrateful little boy with no parenting involved. The school warned his parents months before the event that their son needs to leave school for therapy sessions, but they refused to take him for therapy. Instead they bought him a gun for his birthday and never checked his backpack the day he left for school when the school called that very same day before the shooting to pick him up because he was drawing death notes. His mother still refused to pick him up...his parents are being charge with child neglect and other felonies because who buys a gun for a depressed kid? In addition his parents tried to hide away from the cops when they were notified of their own arrest warrants. That family single handedly gave their community a lifetime of PTSD and nightmares.

I had six operations with 17, two for the spinal cord on L1, which had to be removed completely and be replaced by a titanium plate. Three and a half years later it is still hard to walk. So, I understand the part about the bodily changes and hurdles all too well. Suggesting I was one month out of the hospital after half of a year when this shooting did happen and lost a good friend to an accident in that month, I want to tell Kylie one thing: That she is on the right way and I don't think she'll leave it in the future. Chosing love over hate does not mean to forgive (the person that took someone close to you and your innocence along), it means that you are stronger than all demons who long to bring you down. Also for the second girl and the others. They are stronger than the demons will ever be. They earned all the demons will never possess.

It makes me ashamed to think we are so selfish as a nation that our own right to a gun, is more important than trying to find ways to make it harder for people who shouldn't from getting them. So selfish are we that, that right is more important than those 2 girl's & many more like them's right to go to school, and not worry if their school is next. Not worry if they will bleed out on the floor, if any1 is coming to save them. I am thankful I never had children b/c I wouldn't want any child of mine to have to grow up in a country where their right to simply go to school, have childhood experiences and good memories that should last a lifetime are less important than our right to a firearm. The notion that Government wants to take everyone's gun is nonsense. If you are law abiding by all means own 1, but there are ways to make it tougher for those who aren't from getting them and any decent person would be willing to go through that same process knowing at the end they will be able to have their's, but those who wouldn't won't. I also get some still will get their hands on 1 and do horrible things. But even if 1 school is saved because as a country we decided not to be selfish this 1x and work to a goal where it has become harder for the next school shooting It would be well worth it. I wish those 2 girls and all their classmates, their families the very best, I am sorry this happened to you, and I am even more sorry we refuse to do better because of our own selfishness.

I get if police were clearing the hallway.ok. But there can’t have just been one officer doing that would mostly have been many there even if not some would have shown up within a mins. So why 15 mins to get back to these children🤷🏼‍♀️ why when these things happen at schools. The police seem to be more focused on making sure protocols are followed, (very slowly may I add. How many times do we see hundreds of officers STANDING outside in groups when students are laying bloody on the floors)and preserving evidence to take the shooter to trial. Then they do in saving CHILDREN’S LIVES !! I grow up feeling safe as a child even as a young teen at night on the streets of Toronto Ontario in the early 90’s 🇨🇦 school shootings had happened but wasn’t a regular thing certainly not in Canada. But even living where I did at a very young age I knew by witnessing that the police are not there for us if in danger but for AFTER a crime happens to try to bring the guilty to trial. No prevention that’s for sure. Of course there are exceptions but it should be the other way around. Seems to be power over others, no hard labour, and retirement after only 20 years and let’s not forget getting away with anything they do wrong. I literally watched this happen!! We need to revamp the whole legal system the good ole boys club has got to go !!! And now

They aren't that easy. The gun was legally purchased by an adult after a background check. The gun didn't decide to kill people. Ethan Cumbry decided to kill people. You never know what goes on in anyone's mind. There are 392 million privately owned firearms in the hands of 81 million gun owners in America. With that being said, considering all of the firearms and owners, the death by firearms are still very low per capita. There are 20,100 deaths for every 300 million people. Most of the gun violence is committed by criminals and 80% of them are from illegally obtained firearms. I failed to mention the annual $1 billion dollars worth of illegally imported firearms that enter the USA which gets sold on the black market. The crazy part is if they make it even more strict, the black market trade will get even more lucrative. There will be more guns in the hands of criminals and less in the hands of law abiding citizens which will make gun violence worse. Laws are for law abiding citizens. Criminals don't abide by the laws. It's hard to weed out the crazies especially since some people don't go nuts until after they legally obtain a firearm. One day they may just snap.

religion? Please, no. America is one big country full of aggressive and violent Christian maniacs. Luckily I am German and most of us are non-religious and we still have no school or mass shootings. Maybe it would help to stop selling guns like donuts. Just a foolish non American idea.

@cl1ntonbodycount652 yeah, sure buddy. Who needs facts when you have feelings right? Libtards getting emotional. Maybe if they make a law making it illegal that will work? Yes. Everything I said negates their claim that those things cause shootings. Apparently they are missing a component to the puzzle, and intentionally ignoring it... like you. With that level of thought, you will never achieve a solution. Lock n load!

No, it’s definitely not factual. People used to blame Marilyn Manson and Dee Sneider, and this makes no more sense than blaming music and video games today. School shootings have been a thing long before Pumped Up Kicks, which is the whole reason the song was written. My god, can you people really not think before typing such silliness? We’ve had school shootings in our country for as long as we’ve had schools. Long before video games and violent television shows.

what is wrong about this case is that the prosecution claims the child can be tried as an adult because he knew of the ramifications and yet they are charging the parents as well. the parent s broke no law on the books and turned themselves in when they were asked to. they left several messages with the prosecution through their lawyer and when that was brought up in court the prosecution said she had no legal obligation to return the calls. the parents bought the gun and had it in a locked container which is in compliance with michigan law. the child broke into the container and took the weapon illegally. the parents only fled their home and stayed someplace else when they started receiving threats to their life. they were in the sheriffs department and cooperated and then were released and then the prosecutor issued a warrant for them. even the county sheriff called the move by the prosecutor nonsense. show me under what law the parents violated?

If a mentally ill child can open the gun container than the container is not safe. They knew about his challenges but did not take him to get mental help. She was to busy with her horses. They should not have bought the gun in the first place and they should have taken him to a hospital on the day in question instead of refusing .

The second Amendment is not the problem. It's people who choose to break the law and harm others. Pointing out the 2nd amendment is like saying Automobiles should be outlawed because they cause DRUNK Drivers to kill people when they decide to drink and drive! Don't destroy millions of lives because just a few have decided to drink and drive their automobiles and cause harm to innocent citizens. Matter of fact, and please look this up, Firearms are responsible for just a fraction of deaths compared to most other items used to commit a crime, or cause harm to others! Stabbings statistics are greater vs. firearms'! I will try and find the numbers comparing these items. Otherwise all I can do is ask everyone to think this out before making any harsh decisions. It's proven Australia who has the strictest Firearm laws in the World, their Firearm crimes has not been affected in any way! It's not worse, nor is it any better! Our Politicians know this, and it's one reason they have been hesitant to add more laws on the books. Heck, the laws we have now has not helped our crime rates! The only thing Australia has seen enacting new laws in their country is the humongous cost implementing these new laws! These new laws has not affected their crime rates whatsoever!
@LiPo5000

Many people (both sides) have great suggestions concerning the 2nd amendment! Some of these new laws they have shared with many will work! Everyone, and I mean everyone has to follow, and implement the laws they have suggested! I for one along with many friends agree with some suggestions that have been made! One of the main problems is the people who are responsible for putting this information in the news DON'T understand the subject their talking about! Some are downright selfish! They want their suggestions put into law, but don't you dare put your suggestions on the table for consideration!
