I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

I've been holding NIO since IPO, and I have learned not to underestimate the determination of the shorts. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but I will remain cautiously optimistic about NIO having finally shaken off the shorts until I see a very sustained upward movement of the share price. I suspect that we have not seen the last of the shorts. But I think the future is increasingly bright for NIO, and eventually the shorts will be vanquished.

@@DMVC721 Oh, I am a believer in NIO. I think that they have a wonderful product and ecosystem in China. Otherwise, I wouldn't still be holding NIO for these many years. I am just stating that we shouldn't prematurely celebrate the departure of the shorts. I think that until NIO has put together a few consecutive quarters of profitability that the specter of the shorts will loom over NIO.

BAAS is buy lower (150K Yuan) and pay back later (on each swap) much better buy high (TSLA M3) and pay high later. I rather save 40K+ Yuan on up front investment average 10% yearly return (and slowly pay back each month on BASS).

You basically pay an extra 12,864 RMB ($1,830) over 5 years with BAAS. Half of that you also receive as vouchers that can be used to buy a new Nio/onvo car (6000RMB after 5 years of payments). After 5 years you really are wasting money renting because you get no credit back to purchase the battery. So battery costs 70k RMB or 83k RMB over 5 years, it’s costing you 20% more renting (10% if you include the vouchers) you’re basically better off buying it and you are sort of forced to purchase the battery after 5 years (lump sum of 48k RMB ($7000) or you’re just throwing away money.

Start at the beginning and read the whole story. NIO created a legacy how innovative. We've seen this before can you name the inventor?

The problem is if your looking to buy a car and you visit all the showrooms. 4 brands are telling you how great they are, all their best selling points and features and pointing out all the drawbacks or negatives of other competitors then you go to Nio and they tell you everything great about their car but if you ask about other brands or compare to other brands they just say “yea that’s a great car as well” and don’t point out any of the negatives of those cars, a lot of customers are obviously going to subconsciously feel Nio/onvo is worse. Competition is real crazy in China and companies do some underhanded things to grab market share. I remember when the ride sharing bikes were first starting, there were two companies really fighting for market share and at the beginning there were a lot of bikes being vandalized (having their saddles slashed) and it was rumored this was the competitors paying people to do it. Nio/onvo has to be more proactive at combatting misinformation about its cars but also pointing out the flaws of other brands. They need to get the stupid customers as well as the smart ones.

@@Rain-sg6yq A real short squeeze has up gaps, people just taking the offers, a very steep move. Also it's VERY stock specific. Don't get me wrong, this is a GREAT move for NIO...but not a short squeeze. All Chinese stock have had great rallies. Personally I don't think Mr. P has even experienced a real short squeeze. I love his product and on-the-ground commentary.... but his market, and certainly his technical analysis commentary is strictly retail level.

A very good move for NIO....but...Short squeeze..?? Really? XPEV was up 12%...LI Auto up 11% ....even KWEB a China INDEX was up over 10%. NIO was up almost 12%, a great move...but no short squeeze. Every time NIO is up over 3% does NOT mean a short squeeze is happening. Saying so just hurts the channel's market cred.
