The Uk was part of the deal with back then. So the Uk also pushed to get the tarrifs removed. But no sense of guilt for being part of that. Even worse, the UK said in Brexit that they would get better deals. What do you tink that means? That the poor Africans get much better deals and the UK also earns a lot of money from that? In my view she is the worst kind of politician. Blaming others for their own mistakes. And after that trying to convince everyone that if they plan to make those mistakes but on a larger scale, its a good thing.

Alex missed another EU 'gem'. The raw products are tariff-free, but not finished goods. North African countries can only export unprocessed agricultural products at below world rates to nominated EU importers. If you look carefully at your olive oil, it may well say 'contains olives from several countries', in other words African countries. The EU insists on buying at below world rates, then selling on to third party countries such as the UK at a huge mark-up. When those countries attempted to arrange trade deals with post-Brexit UK directly, they were told that all exports to the EU would be blocked. In other words, the EU operates the crudest form of 19th Century colonialism which directly impedes African economic growth and stimulates illegal migration.

Ive never regretted voting leave and given another chance to vote, I would vote leave. I have a European licence (aviation), yet EU countries didnt recruit me because I wasn't from their nation.
