Apart Together: Community - Bridging Voices | Brooklyn Tweed

Apart Together: Community is Brooklyn Tweed's annual community aid initiative, enabling you to make a difference with your yarn purchase. With your support, we’ve previously aided an Oregon town devastated by wildfires and helped to provide social and mental health support to vulnerable local youth.
This year, our hearts have been touched by a Portland-based youth chorus providing a safe space for young people to experience empowerment and unity through music.
Bridging Voices (‪@bridgingvoices-portlandsqs8903‬ ) is a chorus for LGBTQ+ and allied youth in Portland, Oregon. More than just a musical group, they provide a safe, accessible space where queer youth can grow, thrive, build community, and experience a welcoming support system.
To the Brooklyn Tweed team, Bridging Voices’ mission has personal resonance - for many of us, music has been a powerful way to find our identities, connect to others, and share our authentic voices.
We were honored to attend a recent rehearsal to learn more about Bridging Voices and their work.

At Brooklyn Tweed we are passionate about wool, knitting and design.
