It may keep you a little warmer but it's so gross, especially with how quickly mold develops in British homes. My last flat in the UK before I moved away even had carpet in the entryway. You'd come in with your muddy shoes and step right onto carpet. Yuck. I will never understand why such a developed nation never thought of just wearing slippers and socks instead 🙄

Per week?? Crazy I didn’t know flats in London were that expensive. In Berlin you’d get a pretty good flat for that price and that’d be per month

I think it's mostly because all areas she has mentioned in the video are within zone 1 of central London (aka most expensive to live in) and most of the neighbourhoods are considered to be more 'upscale' (Chelsea, Marylebone, even Shoreditch nowadays). If you check places in zone 2/3, you can find similar flats for 300-400 a week 😊

This apartment are so pretty and modern that's why they are so expensive and it's even per week. I live in FL just got my first house last month paid in cash. Usually 3 bedrooms apartment will go with two bathrooms including one suite. I never see any 3 🛌 3 🛁 flat in London cause it takes lots of space and not necessary. If ppl want their bedroom, they just find an ensuite in a flat or a studio. So maybe it’s better to rent a flat for 2 people than 3. I had the same situation before and it was so hard to tell the other friend that we would not rent with her 😢.

Just been through the apartment hunting in London myself and doing it in early September made everything even worse lol eventually decided to go with the uni halls of residence as I couldn’t put up with the stress and ever-rising rental anymore haha. Lol i live in Vauxhall and you’re right, Modern buildings are being built EVERYWHERE so you’re just surrounded by high-rise building and cranes which can be a bit claustrophobic.

you can get cheaper accommodations for sure , i was a student in london for 5 years and my rent was around 650 - 750 each month not far from central. I only lived with max 2 other people, but yeah so much more expensive than other cities
