Hi guys!! Hope this is helpful! Which one would you go for?

10 people viewing at the same time makes it seem like the highest bidder takes the apartment. The landlords couldn't more happier than now when the demand exceeds supply.

Yeah, it’s definitely their market !

Most Aussies live in the suburbs, not the city centre or immediate surrounds. Did you look in established residential inner suburbs with more character, more amenities and more trees? Most have low-rise flats, good public transport and a sense of community that you won't find in the city centre. Examples: Elwood, Glenhuntly, Murrumbeena, Hawthorn, Camberwell, Kew, Alphington etc.

Totally understand this! However for now we really want to be closer to the city as this point in our lives - just left suburbia in the UK so not quite wanting that atm. I can definitely see the benefits for the future though - thanks for the recommendations 🤩

I always see hawthorn pop up! Seems a good area?
@MrjudsonjamesАй бұрын
@@Katielharwood most of those examples would fit into what we would classify as as “inner suburbs” which means progressive city type areas that just happen to be outside the city. Elwood in particular as it a beachside suburb right next to st kilda which is a massive tourist destination. Actual suburbia would be further out than these. Basically theyre suburbs families who would like to be as close to the city as possible but still maintain a sense of community live. Which makes them nicer for couples and singles too.

You can’t find anything a little older that is cheaper than the new builds? I live in a 1970 built apartment but it had a lot of renovations done

Coming from an old house in the UK, we aren’t currently wanting an older house. Maybe once we own one, but if we are gonna pay rent we want it new and fresh 🤩
