Not all Chinese people live inside such apartments. When I was a little kid my family live inside a two-room Soviet style apartment, which had really old decorations and equipments, only until 2007 we moved to a bigger four-room modern apartment. There are still many underclass people who live inside old buildings.

This is a beautiful place! I move to Shenzhen from Beijing in January and I'm doing my research. I currently pay RMB7800 for a two bedroom so this gives me hope on the cost of living. Thanks for sharing!

@@_jesstravels_ RMB6200....um.. i don't think in BJ this budget can rent such good quality apt like yours in Shenzhen. Unless the apt is located very far from the BJ center, like 5-6th ring road....

@@LoveOwenCris Hey Iris, yes that’s true. My apartment is quite far from the downtown area of Shenzhen, that’s why the quality is nice and the rent is cheap. Two bedrooms closer to the city can be around 8000 rmb with a western bathroom and kitchen.

Hey, Tan! You can use www.apartmentforrentinshenzhen.com/ or stop by an agency office. But, finding rent is quite easy! There are always apartments opening up, and it only takes a few days to find a place.

Hi there! I no longer live in this building, but the prices should be about the same. 6000-6300 for a 3 bedroom and 4200-4600 for a one-bedroom loft. Lmk if you have more questions about housing or Shenzhen in general!

@@MrNarcoIt could be anywhere from 4000-7000. It depends on the district and what quality you're looking for in the building. If you live away from downtown, it's usually cheaper to rent. Do you know what district your job is in?

Hey! Yes, there are some apartments that you can rent unfurnished. So, you’ll have to buy your own furniture. Buying furniture though isn’t expensive. Depends on what quality and look you’re going for!
