I love how you guys separately jot down what characteristics you want in a home and then compile one list incorporating things you both want as your final "draft" per say. You do not see a lot if couples doing this when deciding on things . You can see the respect and love you have towards each other . I just ❤❤❤ your guys energy and watching you guys enjoying your life to the fullest !

I hope you guys find what you’re looking for. I tried Guadalajara but it felt like I was in Miami (I love Miami) but, in Mexico I wanted more Mexican charm. I ended up in Ajijic in a house for 2 years. A yard with grass and trees in that climate. A dream experience. Our neighbor behind us was a horse, that was used to keep a vacant lot mowed.

Besides Popeyes and Applebees, you will be walking distance to Lupe’s BBQ and a new Denny’s. They have almost completed construction on the roadways that tie into the Periferico. No Mibici stations anywhere nearby though. We have lived in several Guadalajara neighborhoods for short (~1 month) stretches. If you liked Chapalita, and can afford these apartments, then I strongly recommend that you check out Providencia. Why live in the outskirts when you can be in a vibrant neighborhood!? Apt#1 Hiking is an option, not a requirement to get home. Next! Apt#2 Feeling like Family. Before you got to putting in an offer, I'd already predicted an offer of 15,000 & buy your own washer & dryer, the agreement to leave them behind sweetens the deal. I love the apartment & its light fixtures. Apt#3 I'd guessed that you'd offer $15,000 but a private washer & dryer is attractive. Was that a fridge or a watercooler? You will be at Popeye's more often if cold food storage space negates.😂 Yes a freezer is a good look. That kitchen is great for a caterer, Baker or event planner. One of you can set up your classroom there. Best of Luck.

You made pretty good predictions! We like Apt 2 the most and are working on our negotiation skills. Apt 3 tiny fridge was strange lol but we liked the views. @@TheYarbros Tiny apartment fridges take some getting used to, but they have advantages we normally wouldn’t think of. Less food waste, buying fresh locally more often, rather than major monthly or weekly trips to Costco or big chain supermarkets. A nice thing about buying at your local neighborhood tienda (bodega/abarrotes/whatever-you-call-them) is you’re going to start getting to know your neighbors. You all are pretty experienced travels, so I’m sure you’ve made adjustments to meet limitations, and found unexpected benefits.

Really glad you liked it. Its one of our favorites so far. It is in the colonia of Ciudad del Sol.

I’m visiting there in a week from the US! I’m a little nervous - do you feel relatively safe walking around ?
@TheYarbros4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we do feel safe. There were a couple of areas that we didn't feel safe but it was obvious that we should not have been there (massive graffiti everywhere, half torn down buildings and a bunch of hardened looking dudes w/ homemade tats...). Remember not to walk down dark alleys at night (use common sense) and you will be fine.

@@TheYarbros thanks so much for the reply! Will definitely practice my common sense haha!

Tlaquepaque is aittle dangerous.. But I'm sure there's good parts
@TheYarbros4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, certain parts are. We passed on a couple of nice apartments there because of the security issues.

Rondell & April, awesome content. I like the new presentation method you used on here, . The part were you each lean in/forward. My wife Alicia and I consumed all your Merida content and are following you to Guadal -A- HaRRA ...🤠. Guadalajara. From the arabic وادي الحجارة (wādī al-ḥajārah), “valley of stones”, 60% spanish is Arabic from the Moors(Moros ) or as the word now used in Mx “morros” = young or new kids/new jacks. The Afrkhan Moors ruled & civilized Spain & Southern Italy for 800 yrs. Anyway, can’t wait to see where you end up. I am Mexican and I am working on the virtualmoney.ws cash stream so we can also be “Nomadic Wonderes”.

Thanks for the history touch-up and for opening the realm of Spanish etymology. I (Rondel) dig into that kind of knowledge . Regarding the "lean-in" during the video. We are trying to connect w/ our audience and trying to keep it interesting. I'm really glad you liked it. Thanks for following our adventures and best of luck with you and your wife's adventerous lives!

Great.. if you don’t mind, what you intend to do to survive? You will get a job? Are you retired? You know what I mean?

Welcome! Do you understand and speak spanish?

Thank you, we both understand more than we speak. Apryl is more of a linguist than I am but we are both actively learning the language.

Where do you find this type of aparments ?they're so cool
@TheYarbros4 жыл бұрын
We locate the neighborhoods we are interested in and google "furnished apt. desired colonia" ..in Spanish and then start calling and emailing the realtors we get in touch with. When we view the home we walk the neighborhood (if we like it) and locate any "homes for rent" signs we can find....
