Gilles -- excellent tutorial series. APBA Master is a fantastic game and your videos will help gamers think about graduating from Basic to Master. Yes, Master takes a little longer to play than Basic but after 'n' number of games played it's not too bad. Organizing the book like you mentioned in video #1 and "cutting losses" on certain base running situations helps move games along faster. Also, I started using the Ultra Pro 9 card pocket pages for both teams and it saves a lot of time! I highly recommend this tip for APBA Master gamers. No ratings needed on score sheets.

You rolled a 23 on the play for France, which is lower than 41. I think he should have been safe. I think you are demonstrating the great flexibility for base runners in the Master game and the challenges as well keeping all of the numbers straight. Thanks much for the videos on the master game.

This is one of the reasons to play BBW. You get a description of the play instead of hit valuation numbers. The choices of base advancement become realistic with trailing runners possibly taking an extra base (as well as the batter who rounds first). Cut offs and dropped throws can affect the decision and the number of outs may make a critical difference. All this is calculated by the program, but feels realistic and plays like it happens in real time. There are times when you can't believe the runner is safe or out, but that is the nature of probabilities: you don't know what will happen until it does. Base coaching becomes a critical element of managing with the Master Game or BBW.

As our friendly viewer pointed out, Franz is SAFE at around 15:42 mark not OUT, crazy stuff happens with your IQ when you are taping videos :)

Hey Gilles, have you thought about putting your baseball, football, hockey, etc… videos in their own playlist?

That would be great to actually learn the football game in person from the Master! Probably too busy but I'm 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh!

Hey Gilles, I noticed that the five minute and 30 second Mark that Grossman was not guaranteed to score because you had to figure out a hit value and a chance number. But I notice in the example that follows you automatically let Grossman go home from third base. I don't see the difference between the two examples you showed. Am I missing something?

So sorry for the confusion here Gilles, after watching your video a few more times I figured it out!
