Incidentally, I lived almost ten (10) years of my career life in Edo State (NYSC inclusive), from 1990 to the end of 1999; by the nature of my job, I can tell you that I am very familiar with the length and breadth of Edo State (Delta State inclusive = Bendel State). Edo people are good and brave people, I trust them to defend their votes for good governance. God bless Edo state, God bless Nigeria!! United we stand, divided we fall!!!

I supported Peter Obi in the last presidential election because of his competence and the need for fairness in allowing an Igbo man to lead the country. He initially played this fairness card in the PDP, but when that didn’t work, he moved to the Labour Party and became their candidate. Now, in Edo State, there’s a general understanding that power should shift to Edo Central, allowing an Ishan person to lead for the sake of justice. However, Labour Party is going against this by fielding another Edo South candidate, which contradicts the fairness Obi seeks at the national level. While Olumide Akpata is competent, his candidacy comes when Edo South has already had its turn after eight years of Obaseki. Labour Party is unlikely to succeed in this election, and by going against the power shift, Akpata may unknowingly be helping APC. This move also weakens Obi’s moral position on marginalization.@AishaYesufuTV

The inherent bias in your analysis may lead one to believe that you are encountering political matters for the first time. Were you not in Nigeria when PDP stalwarts gathered in Benin in 2020 during the election of Obaseki versus Ize Iyamu to support Obaseki? Were you not in Nigeria when they did the same in 2016 between the same Obaseki and Ize Iyamu? Where was LP then? Who told you they are copying LP? You should know that it's LP that's copying that strategy from PDP and APC. Akpata and LP knew the PDP and others would come with their big wits; that's why he quickly brought Obi and his co-travelers. Aisha, it should be clear to you by now that the Labour Party is poised for defeat in this election. It is unlikely that you guys will secure a single local government area; it would be nothing short of miraculous if the Labour Party were to win even a ward or polling unit. Olumide Akpata is cognizant of this reality. Asue is destined to be the next governor, and it is time to accept this outcome rather than mislead your audience, many of whom do not even hail from Edo State.

From your name, I know you aren't from Edo. I can see how you LP supporters push your politics with extreme emotion rather than reading things on the strategic line for informed decisions; that's why your party always has recipes for aftermaths. If you're from Edo, you will know that Asue is the candidate to beat. Every pointer points to him; that's why APC is fighting hard to do whatsoever they want to do, and it will not work. Please don't think that LP will win anything; that's the joke of the century. You guys are too emotional with the crowd; that's not the election. LP will not win a single LGA in Edo. If you're still thinking of 2023 Edo voting for LP, there was a specific reason for that, and it ends there. No insult, as people like you always put forward as a cover; Asue is the next governor.
