APC Smart-UPS 3000 LCD Hot Swap Battery

Hot swapping the batteries in the APC Smart 3000i UPS isn't difficult. Simply open the lower front panel, unplug the first battery and remove, then the second and refit in reverse. You'll be asked if you've installed new batteries for the log.
It's worth testing your new batteries - APC UPS' usually do this once a month automatically.

those ups are good for laptop and light etc love them for bigger things need inverter wich I have ups and have few inverter 3000 watts pure sine wave 48V 120AC 60Hz 40A in tool box with 4 12 volt battery 4 breaker 2 20A and 2 15A breaker with 2 GFCI out let 1 125V 15A next is 125V 20A LOVE IT

Easy enough. Mine is the 3000, so it doesn't have the fancy LCD screen. After replacing the batteries, I held down the test button and it performed a self test.

That's right - I showed this in another video, hold the power on / test button for a few seconds and it performs a self test and clears the error led.

Thanks i just had an outage and my batteries were at %20 and got to about %17 before i was able to cut off the non essentials and the server after half the hd's shutoff.

Check if the connectors are properly connected and press and hold the test button on the UPS to force the UPS to use them. If that does not help: Allow the batteries to charge for 24 hours. If that does not help: Disconnect the load, disconnect the power, remove the batteries to force the UPS to reset.

These hold 4 batteries, 12V, 18Ah. AGM/SLA Example: Yuasa NP18-12B. Batteries are paired in series (24 volt per block of 2 batteries. If you buy original APC battery packs, everything is assembled as here in the video. If you just buy new batteries you will need to reuse the existing cables, screws, fuse and protective covers.

No, you can keep everything on and running while you replace the battery packs. They are designed to be hot swappable so the server / computer can stay on.
