I have an old APC 700, and I think the battery needs to be replaced. A red light in a box w/ an x is lite, and thing was beeping like mad. But, I moved cables and I have a light fix. I'm either swapping battery or buying updated system

Thanks for the video. How do I tell how long the power was out for when I return home and see that the power went out? When I flip through the screens on my APC UPS I see a screen that says Event 30. Does this mean the power was out for 30 minutes? I can’t find info on this anywhere surprisingly. Thanks for any answer to this question.

My unit, not sure of the brand name (China) but found out it wasn't working on brown outs and it was hot, I took it apart and the battery was dry, I filled it with purified water and began charging and after a couple hours both lights started squealing at the same time, I tried unplugging the unit and recharging but these lights won't stop? Bad battery or?

Pretty sure you need to add distilled or deionized water not purified water

Have apc smart ups 700 and no texts on leds, but some battery with wave inside is lit and it's continuously making the beep noise. No button pressed helped in any angle, just removing the power IN cable from ups made it shut down and putting it back on, it just turned on like nothing had happened and everything looking fine... BUT IS IT? (it has been happening last few months every second week now...)

Load is 20% , What does it mean? 20% of 1980kWH max capacity? That would give us around 396kWH per load bar? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I left my new APC battery 650VA / 360 WATTS for 10 hours straight to charge up and still the red power light keeps flashing which I do not seem to understand why? I use 2 PC desktops with monitors and some drives connected to it. Is it too much power consumption for the battery but I used to use APC Backup 550 before (same computers, monitors and drives) which had 330 watts less than this new one with no problem. Anyone please help. Thank you.

Have recently acquired an APC Smart UPS 750 with indicator lights similar to the type in the vid, except mine has symbols instead of words on the various lights. When in the battery power mode, ie, power failure with the UPS supplying power, there are 3 bleeps every 30 seconds or so. What does that mean?

Hi guys, I had just bought a an APC Back-UPS BX650Ll-MS, and sometimes it just create an "off audible alarm" clicking sound while using it. The sound is same sound like when I uplug the unit from the outlet. Is this clicking sound normal?

well....how about you made a video of troubleshooting those LEDs when they are showing some errors....for example....if the red alert LED lits with 2nd and 3rd LED on battery bar....etc..etc...i know theres a list of error codes by LEDs...just like PC BIOSes have it by beep codes...

I recently modified my APC Smart-UPS 1000 to use 2 RC7 batteries which basicly makes it a Smart-UPS 1000XL and gives me longer a run time. My question is will this effect how the software looks at the remaining battery charge capacity? I guess what I'm asking is will the software tell me I'm low on power when in fact I have extra capacity?

+52wml If you do a runtime calibration on the unit, which can be done through the network management card, then the unit will read the proper runtime.

+James Ram because they only last a few years. My first set of batteries ran dead after 7 years, this set is starting to die after 5. Other people tell me I'm lucky they lasted this long. A new set for the APC SMART UPS 1500 will cost $159 from APC, or $99 from an aftermarket company. It's a good idea to check the UPS every six months to see how well it is working, as well as opening the front to see if the batteries are getting warm or swelling. Doing this is like checking the oil in your car; it only takes about 5 minutes, and will make sure the UPS will work when you need it.

i have an APC Smart 750,the batteries died and were replaced a few days ago, but the led battery indicator lights wont stop blinking, and the battery levels go from 100 to 20 in a second, but on battery and over 20% load, it runs for over 30mins. how can i fix this?

+CoastTec the charging circuit works coz the led rises from 1 to 5 but it stays blinking even when full, and if the grid power is disconnected, the led goes down to 1 but the UPS runs for over 30mins before powering off. how can i calibrate the UPS, i tried with powerchute but it didnt help

Every new gen unit I bought failed, most with a few days. Ever since APC sold out to Schneider, they have been unreliable and even dangerous. I stopped buying them and only use Tripp-Lite now.

I have a quick question. My APC xs-900 used to have a batery 12v 7.5 amp, I bought a 12V 9amp replacemente batery. Do you see any issue with the higher amp?

There is no issue with using higher Amp-hour (Ah) batteries. It will just make the run time longer. You would have more time to save work and shut down your computer.

Shaun-Kendall Sooknanan There is actually no way to silence the audible alarm short of removing the buzzer. If you are adjust the sensitivity of the unit, the alarm will happen much less frequently…you can refer to the video about adjusting sensitivity.

Hi Thanks for the info... I still have few questions... I have APC 1500XL and i am only using it for a single computer. This UPS is hacked to support external and bigger batteries... I have attached 180x2 Acid batteries. 1. UPS does not fully charges the batteries. When it switches to battery it directly goes to 60% the third light. 2. It keeps switching between Battery and Online when i have load on it. When i turn off the computer it charges normally. Please tell me what is the problem and how i can get it fixed .
