09:28 Jirard: "I think if Specter really wnated to dominate humanity, he could just make games as cool and experimental as this one, until our brains rot and we all rely on apes for everything." Uh...Jirard? Believe it or not but that's the plot of Ape Escape Academy 2.
@GmodPlusWoW6 жыл бұрын
...son of a gun, you're right! Specter literally establishes world domination by inventing Hearthstone! Oh god he's going to fund his campaign through the medium of CARD PACKS! WE'RE DOOMED! ...nope, wait, he alienated his playerbase with several expansions of progressively more OP cards, while making it impossible to play older cards in Ranked. Nevermind, his plans are thwarted by his own hubris.

This is a HUGE childhood favorite of mine! I spent hours exploring the detailed and well-crafted levels as I hunted the monkeys and tackled the time attacks. I remember feeling like a true badass as I climbed the ranks of the boxing minigame. My stepbrother and I tore up some Galaxy Monkey together. I LOVED the races with Jake, they got my adrenaline pumping, I worked so hard to master those routes to finally defeat him, my tiny hands spinning the analog stick to use the gadgets as quick as him. And I was SO compelled to fill out that Monkey Book and read about every monkey. This game was so well-made. My childhood self was enamored by it and to this day I still frequently get the title screen theme stuck in my head, the same theme that plays when you finally see Spike running to meet his friends again at the end of the game.
