APEC Preparations: Counter Terrorism Attack Drills

Members of the Long Range Reconnaissance Unit have demonstrated a drill on how they will respond to counter terrorism attacks, if it does happen during the APEC Leaders’ Summit in November.
The drill involves a hostage situation whereby an APEC delegation is held up and taken hostage on their way to a meeting venue.
The drill was witnessed by minister responsible for APEC, Justin Tkatchenko, and senior officers of the PNG Defense Force and the police.
