It may be possible that the English language doesn't have the proper word for those fuzzy/furry coatings on those mandibles. "Furry" might be as close as we can get to describing the cilia coated fangs.

When I read mandible, I think of Arthropoda, with an exoskeleton, a hard carapace like a lobster claw, but some do have individual sensory “hairs”/bristles. So maybe aliens have a more dense occurrence that together might look furry. I take back my comment. Thanks for your thoughtful reply.
