#askmark Honest opinion - is the new Apeks gear too overpriced? Particularly the torches and reels?

I don't think so. Compared to similar torches, they're priced about the same but have additional features. The Halcyon and Mares cave reels are similarly priced as well, and I prefer the Apeks look and feel for those as well. The spools were unique until the Chinese knock-off stuff came on the market, but even then, the Apeks spools offer features even the knock-off gear don't have. Apeks is not cheap, especially when you're in the US, and there are cheaper options available, but it's premium gear that will last you a lifetime.

Nice looking, but ! HUGELY OVERPRICED !!!!! especially considering what's available on the market for WAY LESS MONEY, bit of a shame to be honest, I think Apeks are taking the p..s with this. Don't know who their marketing manager is.... but they should look for a new one, lol
