It would be great to have a comparison for torches below 300 bucks, which one is featuring the most for the money, also in terms of quality and longevity which is hard to tell as a consumer who cannot just open all boxes and test them.

I've had the 710V Single Combo with the video tray for about 6 months - just ordered another arm and torch to improve the light fall, as a single unit it's very good for my Action3. The 710V has the infra-red and blue light for night diving. I love it and I rarely pull out my Big Blue any more. I would highly recommend this set up for the recreational video / gopro person.

@@ScubaDiverMagazine I was diving Lagos Portugal 2 weeks ago and found that it didn't quite give the coverage for cold water / green water diving like I'm used to in Queensland. The Atlantic seems to suck the light out of the lens and it goes no-where, so I's definitely recommend a double set of lights for anyone doing video work and wanting good colour spectrum. The red light also brings nice colours back into fan corals at the 15-20 metre mark.

The "foam spacers" are meant for the storage space under the battery. The large slot for the torch, the two shorter slots space for 2 batteries. And as you found out, it does not stay in place where it's meant to be, especially if you don't have a battery in that space holding it down!
