Apex - Flight School 5

We traveled to yet our 5th state for the final episode of Season 1 of Flight School. In the Nevada desert near the City of Las Vegas is an OHV haven for offroad. The Apex OHV location has to be one of the best for prerunner content, tons of hips and jumps everywhere, and I'm certain we barely scratched the surface. This desert was brutal on the truck, be prepared for the rocky terrain out in Apex if you decide to head out there, also be aware that there is no camping of any kind even though it is BLM land. We started this journey exploring concepts behind how we could shoot prerunner content in a completely innovative light. We felt that prerunner content was universally depicted in the same manner on all media platforms and we were determined to create something more engaging and cinematic. After over a year of brainstorming “Flight School” was born. The goal of this project is to make prerunner media more captivating, informational, and epic. We wanted something that everyone can relate to, even if they aren’t heavy into offroad, something that speaks for itself. We hope we have captured the essence of this vision in this first episode and will continue to grow as we air future episodes. We love this sport and will strive to take it to new heights over the coming seasons. @ I can’t wait to try this type of stuff in my Can-Am MavR. I just hit the local MX track and was hitting jumps at 40mph. I’ll probably post all my footage as one of my first videos. I need to figure out how to dial in the shocks. Your setup looks awesome 🔥

@ hey thanks for the super fast reply man! Checked the channel and went right to the 2023 Truck update! I was trying to see if it was 2wd or 4wd. In action vids it almost looked like those links were half shafts. But geometry just didn’t look right. Got to see the get susp up close. Man that thing is sick. A walk around will be awesome to see!!! Can’t afford a full size prerunner so I do scale RC’s and now I wanna build an All American Sender Special! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! 😎

The off camber transfer jump at 9:00 is fabulous! Not the most air you ever gotten but it is so elegant and beautiful the way the truck flies and lands, while doing it at that angle. Just awesome! Where are your beautiful body panels? Love seeing the internals but I love the sexy OBS Crew Cab Long bed as well.

Rocks are gnarly out there. We were testing out there one year, and a rock put a fist size hole in the sidewall. If you come back to Vegas and need another camera out there, let me know. I used to shoot desert racing.

Solid, yeah, my bead lock rings have apex damage now.... never had that many tire issues at any other location. I'm gonna have to run a touch more pressure next time

Are the "athlete" mentions ironic or serious? I'm familiar with fmx (freestyle motocross) athletes that have to be in good physical shape, but I don't think that's quite the same here. Aside from that, I do love this content and appreciate how you try to estimate your jump distance with the range equation from physics. That's badass

It's a package deal, I don't think you can be on your game mentally and physically if your a shlub..... so I do actually believe you would be a better driver if you are in good shape. Period.
