The SFTO is mainly a big tribute to Titanfall 2 fans. The beginning takes place during the war in Titanfall 1&2, and it shows a Monarch titan sacrificing itself to defend Conduit's hometown. She and her family are big fans of the Apex Games, and her sister(the one that got hurt) was likely the main moneymaker for the family before getting hurt, so Conduit went to salvage the Monarch's remains to create a combat rig so she can fight in the games. It is also confirmed that the radiation from the rig is slowly killing her, but she won't let that bring her down.

Except it’s massive fuck you to titanfall by being entirely inaccurate, the Militia and SRS (good guys) never used Monarchs, the IMC (bad guys) stole and salvaged the Advanced vanguard class titans to create the monarchs, basically all the cool animation for nothing as it was canonically inaccurate

Little more information on Conduit due to the radiation of the battery she touched she's actually slowly dying so hopefully when we learn more about her she'll find some cure, surely she can duardo ( octanes father) is 100 yrs old 😂

correction: Duardo (Eduardo Silva) is actually Octanes grandfather. Octane's father died to a disease, which is why Duardo made his special stim which causes him to live longer

Fun fact: if you look closely at the info in the big robot's (reaper) POV, you can see that it is identifying Valkyrie as "North Star?". North Star is the name of the titan model her late father used to pilot & what her flight suit is built off of.

Conduit is gonna be my new main when she drops Her kit is similar in a way to Lifeline's, where she can support teammates mid-combat. Instead of heals like with Lifeline's Doc bot, Conduit provides bursts of shields to herself and a teammate (10:27). The shield burst lingers for a while, and adding shields does not stack it above your standard shield limit. Her ultimate is a field of energy that ticks down enemy health and slows them (10:36). Also yes, she's support, so that means she has access to the extra compartment in blue loot crates and can craft expired banners for teammates! And finally, my personal fave part of her kit, she has a passive where if she's running towards an ally not in range of her tactical shield burst, she gets a speed boost until the ally is in range or she runs away. Very nice for catching up to teammates who may have practiced their movement more than you (11:06).

Also for a little context AJ Shay aka Lifeline is a Famous Drummer in a band in this world so the girl at the reception is a fan and is listening to one of her songs so she obviously recognizes her immediately!! 😂

I know somebody commented this already, but the reaper at 4:06 scans Valkyrie and identifies her jetpack as a Northstar Titan. It says “Northstar? class: Stryder Pilot: Viper” if I’m not mistaken.” that’s probably why it didn’t instantly fire at Valkyrie once scanning her. Or It did before and I didn’t notice. Also, the person who voiced Revenant also Voices Reinhardt and you can hear it slip through at some point while Revenant sings.

I feel like people hate on Loba too much for obsessing over keeping Revenant alive. Yes, it is hurting everyone around her and she needs an intervention. But some of the comments I’ve seen border on hate crime levels of brutal. The way I see it is that Loba doesn’t think she has a purpose beyond torturing Revenant. When he’s gone, what’s left for her? Even her relationship with Valkyrie was a rebound after Bangalore friendzoned her (she didn’t, actually, it was a misunderstanding). I really hope that this resolves in a satisfying way.
