Improvement: I could have used this: begin apex_util.set_workspace(p_workspace => 'DEV_WS'); end; / Instead of this: declare l_workspace_id apex_workspaces.workspace_id%type; begin select workspace_id into l_workspace_id from apex_workspaces where workspace = 'DEV_WS'; apex_util.set_security_group_id(p_security_group_id => l_workspace_id); end; / They do the same thing, but the first is simpler. :)

Hey mate, thanks for this. I'm having a problem right at the start where I enter all the credentials for the SMTP server (as you did about a minute in) and hit 'Apply Changes'. It gives a message to say that it was successful, but it hasn't actually changed to my 3rd-party SMTP - it still says localhost and won't send mail.

In my free tier cloud accountm, I am not able to see Instance Settings. Just a Feature configuration tab, there is nothing specific to email in entire Manage Instance box. How to enable this ?

Have you tried sending an email? I know the wallet and ACL is already configured in the autonomous database offerings. It wouldn't surprise me if the email configuration is already done too.
