The SLB is unplayable this week, between the lag and the lack of armadas it's impossible to really compete, definitely need to add more systems if this is going to be a weekly thing. I think they also need to add the new currency to the SMS as well or increase the SLB from top 50 to top 100, preferably both. This event is on a week day so hard for those of us that work to really put in the time needed to get to the top end of an SLB.

I like these updates on the whole. Love the idea of expanding top end Exchange systems. But the biggest bottleneck, as others have said, is the refresh rate on the Exchange Armadas. I spend 9/10 of these days loitering in systems for 5-10-15 minutes, hoping to quick poach an armada before someone else gets it. If they updated the refresh rate to be even modestly closer to the refresh speed of Carmadas, I think everyone else would be much, much, much happier campers.

The skins are yet again another Amalgam store poke in the eye. This isn't "sourcing" if it takes YEARS to get anywhere. Yet another example of Scopely putting something out to say "SEE! SOURCING! Even though it's like a drop in the desert. But yeah, glad we get more regular Apex events to finish up Apex research, "skins", badges, and uncommon ship parts.

Mostly super stoked about this. As you say, the price for the assimilated skin is ridiculous, though. And they definitely shouldn't have plunked it into the middle of an already set battle pass during an already SUPER BUSY few days. Why not wait a little bit and make it a Big Premiere thing to tide us over between arcs!? But anywho, it's here now. Wish there wasn't a cap on the apex research medals but I guess it just forces me to improve some other stuff. Looking forward to seeing what improvements will be made! Thanks for the video!

Since they released the event it's impossible to run armadas, on my server (167), armada circle wouldn't show, I started an epic 37 Eclipse armada only for circle to disappear, chance to a 37 uncommon, and then upon reaching 0, the circle (having reappeared) vanished with the word 'disbanded'. And then my comp chest was rare Dominion solo armada tokens. Wow, Scopely, wow.

Great to be able to grind weekly for the medals however the slb needs tweaking as the brackets are way to big. The entire lvl 40s playerbase which is about 90% of my server are in the same bracket

The price of the ship skins need to be cut down, I think winning 2 SLBs is a fair ask for the new stella skin since it's 2x the shards of the old one, but other than that I'm satisfied with this change. We could definately use a copy paste of the lvl 40 eclipse systems to the 3 lvl 30 systems right at the end there. exchange space is insanely crowded right now.

the new event is good.... in theory. within the game its a fucking nightmare. the 90000 minute respawn timers on the eclipse armadas and the lag, because of the 200 stellas in one system makes it barely playable. and thats a modest comment here

I think the best part is the suddenly influx of badges. If you're f2p or low spend, they are still a big bottleneck. Don't get me started on how many Command badges you need 😂

It's not a bottleneck, these are very easy to get in your fraction store they pop up every 24 hours if you are triple or double locked when you have triple r w the opportunity to acquire these badges

The faction badges from faction store are locked behind the Discovery refinery on Sunday and certain rep levels. For those players entering the game today (not necessarily multi year vets) the badge sourcing is a much needed update. The skin sourcing is a reason to engage eclipse in the G4 and g5 economies. The use of transporter patterns adds a way to bypass the Armadas entirely as well. While the bracketing and contraband payouts need work on the leaderboard, it's a lot better than other releases Scopely has dropped.

@@uhwutroe5734 agreed. Anyone with a disco is drowning in badges. Honestly, I wish I could trade in badges for transporter shards or independent credits, but I’m not complaining. Anyone pre-disco remembers how hard it was to get badges (you got 3 per chest at each rep lvl per faction - want to max Kirk and Spock? SOL), so I get both sides of the argument. Better too many than too few.

How is anyone in need of badges? Yea before the disco they are rare. But you get them in the battlepass. I might run out of them if I upgraded all my officers but why would I max an uncommon officer or a rare that’s worthless? I just have no outlet for the badges since the real bottleneck is officer shards. Since I got the disco, I haven’t spent any of that refined stuff on badges. So my demand from officer upgrades is not outpacing my sourcing of badges from other places.

Ok here goes... how about also expanding the augment faction area as well as improving the store. As for pulling officer shards, its kind of a waste to get shards that you haven't maxed yet due to whatever reason, for example, I'm unable to max Khan because I can't get independent credits, so how about them giving us independent credits at that point or at least give us the option to pick? For a future video, maybe a skins overview, how they work and what's worth acquiring? Thanks for the vid as always!

I think ! The critacl Damage on a Eclipse Hostile should also count for the SLB. Or the Eclipse hostile in general. They count only for SMS at the moment. So many people are runing armada. The is nearly no armada free.

This is a great opportunity for players to speed up things held back by this event being held monthly. Now when and if they expand to the unused systems or foolishly create new ones it would be nice to increase the size of hostiles/armadas to keep up with the growth of the player base. Also would be nice to see some expansion in the Outlaw tree or bare minimum the faction store to allow a better option for these medals we're getting in a much higher rate versus spending them on the material/resource packs.

Gotta say I was the exact same as Rev. Hated apex and eclipse to begin with did for a long time. But getting to a higher 40 level seen the need for it. Begrudgingly done apex once a month but my least favourite event by far. But looking at the rewards will happily do it every week. Same rewards as was for the 3 day event once a month..

It's really quite simple what they did. -Take the day 2 "Hunt Eclipse Hostiles" event -Add the day 3 "Hunt Eclipse Armada" event -Add the day 2/3 Leaderboard for the Red Dress skin -Change the Leaderboard from Red Dress to a new currency and store -PUT THEM ALL ON THE SAME FING DAY

I'm not thrilled with this being a weekly event, for 2 reasons: 1) The hostile event hasn't been rescaled at all, so it's a really grindy event for something that's weekly. 2) The costs of the skins are stupidly high. I'll be finished with the Outlaw research tree before I can unlock the Assimilated Stella skin

Everyone who scores on the SLB should get a reward and even the current banding is very mean. I can only see top 100 scores but on my slb bracket 100th has scored 63k with 11 hours to go and I'm on 104k in 53rd. With this running weekly who can get in/run 20+ eclipse armadas just to get on the bottom rung of the slb every week or potentially miss out altogether.

I think this will now add to the grind and make Thursday a bad day. I myself will not try too hard at these events (might get the SMSs done if the system are free) as the payouts are not worth it to me. If you think this will be a way that they will source other skin and stuff what game have you been playing they have many other loops and the rewards have not been updated in years. I think this is great for new players but not worth the time for me.

I love that they added a new, permanent sourcing for stuff - and that you can acquire the Apex Research Medals much faster now. I hate the acquisition of the tokens (SLB) and the prices in the store in general. 60 Rogue Event Trophies (you get 90 per event run) for one small set of ship parts? Fat nope. I don't know about others, but badges are not my bottleneck for upgrading officers. Credits and XP are. Though I have no beef with that offering and pricing in the event store. The Credits option however? Why would I spend my hard earned event currency on a payout that is much less than dailies or Borg refinery returns? They would need to up the credit amount a lot for me to consider that. I am somewhat happy with the Contraband turn-in option. As for the refit prices - outrageous. First of all - the Hijacked ships have no business being there as there already is sourcing for these via the Augment store. Even if people would like two sourcing options, definitely not for 1250 apiece. I am already mad that the assimilated refits cost 450k event store currency in the big event store. Its the first refit to cost more than 300k. They give us less currency AND up the prices? Big meh. But they aren't even consistent. The price ratio in the big event store for Assimilated refits to Salvaged refits is 3:1 - why than is is 1.5:1 in the Apex event store?!

The one week Apex event store cooldowns are total BS. We earned the tokens we should be able to use them at our leisure. Should have at least a reasonable cooldown, ie 22 hours. It’s not like we are given these tokens for doing nothing unlike the weekly in game mission key drops

Sorry but for the last 4 months when this event has come around monthly, the lag has made it unplayable. People have complained every month, in the game, in Discord, and all the devs have done is mute people for it. So, if you have an event with known serious lag issues, do you: A, Stop the event until it can be fixed. B, Carry on and fix in due time. C, Make no effort to fix it and instead run the event 4 times more often?? Scopely geniuses clearly went for C, it's inexcusable! Like the Zoom Lock issue its been going on for months and as usual they can release new (paid for) content but can't put in place fixes to fundamental issues within the game, it's utterly pathetic! Aside from the lag, bravo! It's clearly gearing up for a Stella-A but it's not too grindey, the rewards are better than anything else run weekly and most people need something within the rewards. But doing this knowing lag was an issue and adding to it rather than fixing it, inexcusable. Scopely once again proving they can't be trusted running a bath nevermind a game with hundreds of thousands of PAYING customers!

SLB are horrible even with this being not so much geared towards wallet warriors. The amounts for unlocking the shards for ships refits is so horrible. It takes forever to unlock the ships refits also the broadness of the SLB should be less wide banded. Just so we all can have a chance to actually rank good on the leader boards. But at least this an update to this event.
