The next major iteration of this variable suspension geometry may evolve into free-floating pedal heights which decouples the pedals for greater tilt angles without pedal scrapes while simultaneously lower the CG potential. Imagine deep turns, like a downhill ski racer with one leg almost fully extended and the other knee up near your chest. Mechanically, the Apex is well suited for the transition, which would involve making the control panel into the top of a 4-bar mechanismas viewed from rear (actually 6-bar)… this has major structural implications but can be solved through integrating the suspension system partially between the interconnecting gears or control rods. Imagine the advantage that variable pedal would be, if the design could be made simple and optional. Image less frequent pedal clipping.

This is a genius solution man. Beginner friendly too and great for stop start like in heavy traffic areas. For my Sherman S I ended up hacking away the suspension stopper to force it at a lower height but it worked tho I need to open it up again to restore the height..

A trolley is absolutely not needed. If you ride an MCM5 or other small wheel it's handy but a wheel like this doesn't need it. Looks like a great wheel, love the adjustable suspension feature.

You can check ewheels. They currently have it listed allegedly. It has exactly the same specs as the lynxs plus a newer version of the board. And 20 watt charging instead of 15 watt charging

There’s an easy and inexpensive way to add a trolley handle to the design as an aftermarket item. Simply add fairing plates to either side where they are hinged at the top on either side; then, when trolley is needed, fold up the side plates to form a triangle where they touch (Velcro) at the centerline with a hand hole cut out of both pieces. Bonus is that both power/jump pads will now be sandwiched between the fairing plates, which makes the wheel as thin a possible for navigating through crowds or tight spaces. {Plates would have hinge-joints in 3 locations to form a structurally ridged channel for the pads, with two additional hinges to form the top enclosure and handle.} Super simple and stupid cheap! {With Sligo added complexity, the power pads could stay in their original location and only the ‘negative space’ of the fairings could be folded up to form the handle, which means 2-3 additional vertical cuts on the panels allowing them to separate from the fixed power-pad areas. Excellent suspension adjustment design but I’d still prefer a dual-suspension with hydraulic oil suspension where the stanchions currently exists. Dual suspension unloads the air shock so that maintenance intervals are increased and fine tuning is possible. Lastly, those locking-screws on the height adjustment are less desirable than a spring-loaded retention pin on either side, activated by a single leaver, which is almost negligible in increased cost/complexity. I do say! Compared to the 'master' and 'blitz' range this Apex does not seem to appear to suffer alignment / binding issues of stanchion alignment. Damn that range of 150mm motion is smooth.

They are not a rookie company; Jack used to work at Kingsong; the suspension is developed by the engineer of the S20, and the components are sourced from leaperkim. They are in a solid position to produce a wheel because those before have made all the mistakes for them.

This is nuts. Curious to see how the first batch holds up. I imagine if there's any risk of the suspension linkage slipping. I'd hate to hear that someone didn't tighten a screw quite enough before they go for a big jump.

A great innovation. Any additional information on how the geometry works in high and low settings? I think that in the low setting we would only be using the first part of the travel. Assuming it’s non-linear over the full travel, would it be more linear in the short travel position?

I hope you can make this euc an easy tire change by easy wire disconnect without going to the controller just to disconnect it.Just like the inmotion scooter that can easily remove the connection of the motor cable without disassembling the topcover of the scooter.

At least give us option of trolley handle of some kind. How a rider supposed to cross a road on Pedastrian crossing? In my country it's required you dismount and push it besides you whether it euc, scooter or bycicle. With this wheel rider will look like a complete joke to the occupants of cars waiting on the road, bent down pushing the wheel.

If you nimbly jump off with both feet at the same time while moving, the wheel will continue to ride. At the end of the transition you will jump in again.Such short jogs stretches the legs. Don't be grateful.

This was something we eliminated at the very early stages. We want our wheel to be ridden and not pushed. Our wheel focuses more on performance of race and offroad rather than be focused on the other bells and whistles.

This wheel should be impressive; the engineer of the Kingsong S20 should have learnt all the mistakes and made the required corrections; the components are in collaboration with Leaperkim, so tried and tested; the founder worked at Kingsong, is a rider and an influencer, only thing left is to wait to see what testing reveals. One thing that could be an issue is the thumb screws; they will be subject to vibration during riding, so they will loosen; I didn't see a safety retention pin. Regardless, great job, Jack.

They are going to HAVE to come up with at least a removable trolley set up. This is a necessity and not an option for urban use. Please correct this before you drop the wheel on the market.
