I loved how you showed the close up of the pistola and magazine before and after each round of shooting. It was quite dramatic

Can you elaborate as to how this improved performance?

Is intended to add mass to the muzzle end of your FN 502 to aid in the reduction of muzzle rise and sight return after a shot is fired.

did you swap out the spring also? my slide is hiccuping when trying to go into battery from slide release
@teamblue147 Жыл бұрын
Factory spring was transferred over and I’ve never had a problem with it since I changed out the guide rod. Best upgrade you can do to this gun

Was the slide not going into full with the original guide rod? Changing the guide rod only without the spring also fixed it?@@teamblue147

@@Victor-tc3de I had a lot of failure to feed and battery problems for some reason but when I switched the rod over it literally fixed it and I never had that problem again. For me it’s by far the best solution that I could have ever asked for.

Joe i noticed when you insert the magazine, you gently push it in, and i was wondering if you push it lil harder, would it have problems feeding or failure to fire ?
@teamblue1472 жыл бұрын
No problem what so ever I have 1000s of rounds through the gun and I shoot it with a suppressor also and that thing is awesome. If I have problems it’s usually with the amo and not the gun itself. Changing out the rod really made a huge difference.

Good question! My FN502 (may2023) had all 3 mags (bought additional) fall apart when I did a regular slap-in! every time. After review of the mechanism(s), I came to the conclusion that the design was in error. Not an issue for me cause "I fix sh*t!". Additionally, the Mag release is too big and a simple touch allows it to release. Remedy: I ground down 1/8" on each side, coated, and now it operates as normal (purposeful release). Note: a stronger spring could be added (should be). Also...(sorry) but, slop in magwell is insane! Fixed it with homemade shims at base and slop is gone. As for another persons Q&A...The Guide Rod/Spring replacement is a must. Why?: Springs vary for a reason and plastic rods w/open ended springs catch on plastic for one. 2...I have 1200/1640 FPS rounds and the slam-back may ruin the operation of the gun (power). If the weap is used for plinking, just have original on hand and swap to newer one as needed (quick/easy). Never throw away parts, you may need them :)

After taking apart the FN 502, the factory guide rod is cheap as hell. Cheap thin plastic. This one will last forever so why not.

The SS guide rod is Always better than the plastic original... you may regret in Not replacing it. Also I replaced the original spring in mine with a Sig P250 spring,it is stronger that doesn't allow the slide to be slammed so much back and forth in which the you will have a better smother slide action 👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.

I will have to take a look at the Sig spring but so far the original one is working good for me thank you 👍
