Well in actuality, caustic is still a bad person, he still gassed his entire team and faked his death just so he can do more experiments in the apex game on improving the effectiveness of the gas. The only reason he cares for wattson is because she is highly intelligent which means they know useful information that he can use or wouldn't mind sharing with. He is smart and probably See's alot of people as dumb which is why he also probably becomes a simp for wattson because she is big brain.
